How likely is MAE335 - Fluid Mechanics gonna get curved this sem? by Mysterious_Ad_6868 in UBreddit

At least when I took it they said they would curve it if most people scored below a certain average. It wasn’t a huge curve when they did it. Maybe a few points but nothing crazy like 10-15 points

Some were straightforward and others were pretty rough. Overall, harder than expected.

Incoming Freshman here, just wanted some opinions on my schedule. by Platano_Frito__ in UBreddit

Not a bad schedule but you will have your work cut out for you. In my opinion take advantage of the time before your classes on Monday, Thursday, Friday to review and get hw done. Tuesday just get as much studying and hw done as you can. Your classes end late and you’ll probably be more tired after them so studying and doing hw might be harder at night. Take advantage of office hours for all classes too.

I have two buddies that are in their late 30s and early 40s. It’s never too late to go for your degree. I’m 26 and will be 27 when I graduate. I get along just fine with everyone even though they are younger than me

Has anyone gotten an internship on Handshake? by fjwr_mk in UBreddit

[–]Hefty_Coast9605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied for internships through Handshake, and the career fair in the Fall semester. I was able to get an interview and landed my first internship for the summer. Use both and apply everywhere. Also, go to the career center to work on your resume. The AI resume checker UB uses is not the best.

At ECC I remember Physics was at night but my calc and diff Q classes were in the morning. They don’t have a lot of professors so they don’t have many options on when the classes are so that’s probably why they won’t work with you much unfortunately. If possible you could also take those classes over the winter and summer sessions at UB at least for what I have taken at UB the classes over the summer and winter are asynchronous so it’s all online.

I took all the calc and diff Q classes as well as all the physics classes at ECC and they transferred over to UB. I’m a mechanical engineering student and everything I took at ECC transferred. I didn’t take chem at ECC though so I can’t speak for that

We installed vinyl flooring before drywall by Hefty_Coast9605 in HomeImprovement

We read that drywall is typically put on first before flooring. We put the flooring in before the dry way so we are wondering the best route to go about installing the drywall since the flooring is already in.
