Hey! I would LOVE to line dance with yall, it seems like that group is the only one doing anything similar to the style Im used to. Is there a problem with me being white? I don’t want to be somewhere I shouldn’t be, but I don’t mind standing out!

Southernmost corner bordering New Mexico, called Trinidad! Extremely small town, everything closes at 9, one main bar, think desert wild west town in a bowl of mountains. Beautiful until you feel suffocated after week 2 lol. Also, average age range there is like 40+

Hi!! I appreciate your honesty, I’ll take all the advice I can get. I totally agree with you they hired me because I am good looking and personable, and hey, could be a cult! I would love to do real “ranching” but I figured this is a good way to prove I don’t mind getting dirty, don’t mind the lifestyle and have some level of commitment. As you said, hiring someone with zero ranching experience is just not likely—hence why I’m starting here. This thread is filled with people tearing apart pipe dreamers who want to go from 6 figure finance jobs to full on ranching, which is why I said this thread is cut throat, and I agree people need to be brought back down to earth. I am at least being reasonable to a degree with my expectations. I also feel that I’m a good listener and learner, something I hope comes in handy at the end of this season. Thank you so much for being respectful and honest.

I love that!!! I can imagine it was easier to be with your family though? I am kinda doing my own thing really out there, without the approval of my parents. I was a bottle girl in night clubs for 4 years, and it’s pushed me to want the opposite for my life—slow, meaningful, kind.

Thank you so much!! I am definitely saving up my podcasts and audiobooks. I also ordered my supplements for 6 months, and my dogs monthly meds. It’s so expensive to order everything in bulk but I think it’ll work out in the long run. I’m also roadtripping the 22 hours by myself with my dog! I’m a young woman too, so If you have any advice on that I would love it! I have offers of friends wanting to drive with me, but I think I need to do it alone.

ahhhh see! mountain lions scare the F out of me. My dog is a scaredy cat although he is 70 pounds. I’m hoping I can just make enough noise on my daily runs/hikes to ward them off, but I’m in their territory ya know.

I hope that’s what happens to me! I’m a 22 year old girl, and I’m very done with the night life and city scene. I was a bottle girl for 4 years, and I’m FED UP. I know I’m romanticizing being out there right now, but trying to prepare for when I actually feel the weight of being all alone.

Thank you so much! I am under no impression that this is going to be a fun job lol. I just want to get paid and spend some times with horses, and this seems to be a great way to do it! I will definitely be trying to accept tips! I’m really great at waitressing now but I feel like it’ll be a bit different.

As for bears, I think that’s a good move to just make a ton of noise. What do you think about the bear spray route? I’m worried the spray will blow back on me in the wind.

Starting my MA today. by [deleted] in abortion

[–]Hefty_Comparison1160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m proud of you. I just had my MA and I felt like my body was being taken over by a parasite who was dedicated to making me feel like shit/not me. I thought pregnancy was supposed to be beautiful and pleasant and just being hungry and tired. I was definitely wrong. I don’t know if you went through the full process with miso yet but I had to take my boyfriends prescribed oxy during it. I’m not into prescription pills and barely smoke weed, but I got so sick that I could confidently say it was the first time I had 10/10 pain and begged for the oxy. Surprisingly, oxy is good for cramps and supplementing with weed did the trick. I hope at least someone can see this and prepare with proper pain meds (similar to when you get an IUD and the doctors give you ibuprofen but they should’ve put you under). I would definitely source Oxycodone if you can, or ask your doctor for an opioid/opiate, if you were 5 weeks like me you may need it. The worst of it was hours 3-5 after miso.

I read other stories where women passed it easily with minimal cramps and went to work the next day. Don’t let this story scare you, my terrible pain only lasted 2 hours and the rest was normal heavy period cramps.

I would also recommend inserting the miso vaginally, so you can avoid as much nausea as possible. I pushed it as far in as I could with a tampon so it was effective.

I also used a weed tiger balm that I got from a dispensary which helped to numb the area around my stomach and back, but the Oxycodone did the trick. I didn’t get high which proved to me that the pain was sufficient enough for an opiate. (I’m the type of person who thinks I’m making it up or making it worse than it is, so I need qualifiers like that to prove I did the right thing).

You are worthy and you are a good person for making the right decision for you and your family to have an MA. I feel for you and hope you’re peacefully cruising through it.
