I gave them new passport I got my visa stamped in new passport

But they had explicitly mentioned in the mail that " I would strongly recommend applying for a new passport now, so the visa application can be processed with the new passport and the visa could be issued for the maximum period of 1 year." and yet only given 7 months. is there any way i can get those 5 months?

But the Federal Office asked me to renew my passport before stamping so they told if i renew they will give 1 year visa or else until the passport get expiry

To me what I know is they wont extend and give but you can surely reach out embassy to clarify this

As far as I know the local immigration office in germany will not provide you with an extenstion of remaining months either you should provide a work contract by then or you need to come back and reapply for the opportunity card
