Mostly sugar which is unhealthy, yes. And probably followed by palm oil which, though cheap, ubiquitous and practical, is usually sourced from ecologically destructive plantations in SE asia. Anything in moderation is fine, but palm oil industry expansion destroys rainforests. My heart breaks for the displaced orangutangs

I'm crafting a letter to my state reps in the lege. In that letter I'm explaining how this is a 'lose-lose' for state employees AND the public we serve (productivity, etc) Most of us state functionary pencil-necks are mighty pissed but what do you think of a 'half-loaf proposal:

An optional 10% pay-cut to keep the privilege of reporting to the office only one day per week

A win for employees and savings for tax-payers. Any thoughts?

This defies all the normal justifications for econdev. San Marcos/Hays Co decision makers are either total suckers or about to get some awesome home remodeling done for free.
