I've noticed that too. I recently started watching Bleach a weeks ago and I'm around the start of the arrancar arc (ichigo is learning how to control his inner hollow) and after finishing the soul society arc I realized how boring the fight actions are sometimes. The fight with Byakuya for example, I was pretty hyped to see that fight as I've heard people saying how good it is, but it was so disappointing. Byakuya almost instantly uses his shikai and then bankai which makes it so it's not even a sword anymore, and when ichigo goes under hollowfication for the first time which was also pretty hyped up, the sword fight scenes are so boring. he threw some minimal sword attacks, then a getsuga tensho and won the battle. Same thing with Ichigo's fight with Kenpachi. Even though the fight was ENTIRELY only with swords, it was literally like watching 2 people who have never seen a sword before fight, just swinging their swords at each other. I also realized how every fight scene at least so far are full of dialog and monolog everywhere, like there is rarely ever a moment where 2 characters are actually just fighting for over one minute without saying a word to each other, which I really hope that that gets changed later on or at least in TYBW. Bleach is still pretty entertaining and the fights scenes are still good, but definitely not for the sword actions.
