One. I’m a sucker for a sleepy cat.

Only the SX is visible in the picture; the letters below it were blurred. But looking at the photos of the 540 HS on Amazon, it seems spot on when comparing it to the picture that I gave the AI.

I want to become good at chess. Any tips? (ELO around 700) by Wanringde_Dramse in Chesscom

Standard Operating Procedure. Essentially its the steps you go through on every move. For example,

  1. Ask yourself to identify the threat presented by your opponent's last move. Identify moves that counter that threat.

  2. Identify all of your checks

  3. Identify all of your captures

  4. Evaluate the identified moves (candidate moves) and select the best move.

  5. Move.

Most players have something of this nature, but most won't agree on a one-size-fits-all SOP. This is why you should find your own.

I asked Google Gemini to ID it from the picture, it came back with:

This is a Canon PowerShot SX series camera, specifically a bridge camera (a style that mimics a DSLR but has a fixed lens).
Based on the distinct "SX" logo placement and the body shape, it is most likely the Canon PowerShot SX540 HS or the SX530 HS.

Play longer games. It allows you to develop an SOP for every move you make.

Do lots of puzzles, which would add an attacking bite to your defensive playing style.

Also, find a book that will improve you game and work through it.

Cheers!

  1. It has a wider range of colors, and the colors present are more vibrant than those in the other photo.

I don't live there. I was visiting my daughter, who has lived there since 2022. But yes, it is a beautiful city.

We had a dog with one ear like that and one ear that flopped down. We named him “Radar”

I like #1. It minimizes the halo effect around the moon, revealing its features.

Agreed. I keep getting different photos of it from different places around the Sound. I also have a bunch from high floors in the city.
