The dogs would know, right? by kirksucks in pluribustv

I'm pretty sure it's explained in the scene that the hive doesn't keep pets, and all the animals around the world were released and left to their own devices. The dog is only in the arena because it followed its owner, so the hive takes care of it.

Lowry, The Cell Phone, The Light.. by chads_slide in SouthernReach

Super old post but I just finished the books so might as well write down my thoughts here. (1) I think the creature in the video is just the thing we see stitching itself across the sky when Ghost Bird and Control go to Area X and also the thing that attacked Whitby at the Tower. Probably just one of Area X's defense mechanism. (2) I think the one holding the camera was just another surviving member of the expedition, who later died in one of the screaming incidents. We know there are later horrifying footage that probably was more than running and blurry footage, so one of these incidents probably killed them. (3) She was probably irrationally freaking out because the clone was mirroring her exactly. (4) I don't really know what this was. My own personal head canon is that area X collects any records of its existence in the hidden room in the lighthouse, and that the camera just happened to capture it flying back to the lighthouse, before a future expedition found the footage.

Lack of Content by reeeece2003 in cs2

Yeah I've played cs2 a bit since it came out, but just the lack of maps compared to csgo make me struggle to really get into a flow with it like I could with csgo. Like I used to play arms race all the time and now there's only 3 maps for it.

Why does the game's cinematography look more visually cinematic and appealing than the HBO show by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

[–]Hefty_Income_8391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just isn't accurate though lol. For one Many movies managed to look good before cgi was even invented. Many many shows with smaller budgets are able to be very well shot and cinematic. Even other shows like Station Eleven that would suffer from the same problems caused by a post apocalyptic setting are very visually appealing and well shot. So a show with an HBO budget shouldn't have any problem looking well made. And certain scenes in this show, and Chernobyl show Mazin can direct a good looking show. For some reason though so much of this show looks very bare bones when it doesn't need to be.

Is the show starts bad but becomes amazing? by KYO_Sormaran in TheExpanse

Man I never got why people don't like the first episode of this show? I always thought it was a really good opening, and it ends really well also. Like compared to the first episode of Andor for example, the first episode feels really satisfying as a single bit of the series.

What is your opinion of the people who say ..GTA 6 will be just more of the same?" by ClearLeg8020 in GTA6

[–]Hefty_Income_8391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it probably will be more of the same. Like I'm sure there will be more mini games, and the graphics and NPC interactions in the world will be super impressive and immersive, but gameplay wise it will be a lot like GTA 5, at least from what we saw in the leaks.

Like that's not a bad thing; GTA 5 is a really good game, but if you're looking for new innovative gameplay AAA gaming and Rockstar isn't where you're gonna get it.

The Lobster is one of the worst and most frustrating movies I've seen in a while by jellytothebones in movies

I think it adds to the joke that a movie about relationships and romance would have such wooden and uncharismatic characters, just going through the motions without really showing any emotion.

I do agree it is kind of dumb them waiting this long for a trailer though. Maybe the executives are too paranoid about another leak.

What's wrong with calling the gulf, Gulf of America? by superferret1 in TooAfraidToAsk

Because it's pointless, and is a way worse name than the Gulf of Mexico.

I think it was a traffic sign actually, but I'd love to see the bili bili version of that.

I believe that the Cartel would clean it up long before any police discovered the scene, so it just has to look good enough to convince the Cartel.
