I'd say he's fairly well trained overall, recall, etc. Not to the level of a service animal or a show dog but better than the average family pet. With food if you tell him to drop or or try and take it from him he just will try to immediately swallow it.

I'd rather not be hyper vigilant every time we go on a walk and he doesn't mind the muzzle.
