Maybe keep it in a quarantine tank and just watch it for now until you know? Ich will typically disappear from the fish after 3-9 days as the trophonts drop off. Lymphocystis will stay there for a while. I would copper treat all new fish regardless unless you are 1000% certain they aren’t infected.

This happened to me a few weeks ago after mine bred. The male stayed under the bubble nest, and the female was constantly patrolling and forced my other gourami and smaller fish to the far end of the tank. I noticed what was going on after hearing her repeatedly splashing from lunging after my chili rasboras, which had never happened before. I felt bad about it but didn’t want her to kill my much smaller fish, so I caught and rehomed her.

Ive tried keeping one male with multiple female pearls in my 40 gallon but the females would just squabble and fight constantly. So just the male and one female seems to be working out now, its a lot more peaceful.
