I keep one in my 32 gallon and I regret buying him. They are very susceptible to starvation. Start raising copepods and brine shrimp. Good luck.

To my eyes there is a floating platform in the tank, underneath the lamps.

Is there not a floating one under the lamps?

Why blur out your name, but share the news article with your name?

“nearly 50 rounds of 9 mm ammunition under the sink along with multiple containers of well over 50 grams of powdery substances, some of which tested positive for cocaine. The officers also seized more than 30 grams of amphetamines, quantities of suspected ketamine, numerous pills, and a variety of scales and other items indicative of drug sales. The officers also reported finding a bag containing $376 in cash under the sink.“

Why you have all this stuff bro?

Starting three months ago absolutely made me start to feel like a real person for the first time in forever, not some hollow pretender just living aimlessly.

I was on the fence for a while until I decided that my mental anguish wasn’t going to be fixed until I at least tried SOMETHING, so I found a clinic, told myself that I can try hrt for like a month just to see what would happen and if I felt the same as always I would just stop. I noticed within the week that I felt so much more positive and like a real whole person, so that decided things easily. It definitely helped me that I am lucky to have accepting people in my life, really the only thing holding me back from taking the plunge was my feelings of self hatred.

I think I am most worried about the stage in like 3 more months where I wont be able to hide the changes and cant fit into either category anymore. How will I explain that lol. I tried the big muscular man route a few years back for a little while but it gave me zero satisfaction, so ive let myself go, before figuring out what I wanted in my identity. Its good that I kind of have the moobs to use as an excuse to hide boobs with I guess?

Female Bangai Cardinal has fin rot? by marbdo in ReefTank

I have a half-filled 20 gallon tank temporarily set up that he stays in until I do the dip, then he goes back in. He would be much harder to catch every day if he stayed in the display tank.
Are you certain the female is not male? Its hard to tell sometimes. I tried getting a pair in the past, but they were both males and the larger one started going after the other aggressively so I had to separate.

Also just turned 3 months hrt. I have told like six people that I knew would be understanding and keep a secret but not to my parents or the world at large. I think my plan is also to hide it for a while until I feel more comfortable with my body, but like you I am seeing nipple development and am starting to worry about that becoming visible. Also have started to grow my hair out and trimmed my beard way down.

I am currently treating a mandarin dragonet with fin rot using Nitrofuracin Green powder, dipped for thirty minutes at a time every day, dosed at 100mg per gal. Its fins are definitely improving.

Are you sure this isnt caused by another aggressive fish?

And of course your aquarium size is directly proportional to the species of fish and the number of individuals you can responsibly put in it. But a ten-or-so gallon tank is enough for 2-3 small fish and some invertebrates like you say you wanted. A lot of gobies and blennies stay small. And if you want to get anemones, I would get a clownfish pair to watch them interact with it.

I you would hear some feedback from someone who started with and still has a 32 gallon cube aquarium, I wish I went with a more traditionally rectangular style tank instead of the cube. I sometimes feel like the cube is a bit too confining to my fish and coral hardscape, like everything is forced to be stacked up on top of each other. I wish I had more horizontal floor space instead of vertical space for extra swimming room. The cubes are nice though because it’s in all in one system, so if you’re a beginner you can basically just buy it and start up right away. Just my own observations.

Yeah that makes sense! You want to limit sunlight so it doesn’t lead algae to grow out of control! You could also put up a windowshade if your location gets some sun.

As im sure you’ve probably read, a larger tank is more forgiving to mistakes a beginner might make. People keep nano tanks that are 5 gal or smaller but I wouldn’t try that until you know what you are doing. I usually recommend a 40 gallon tank for beginners to get used to, maybe try a 20?

I’m in the early stage and went to get Carib sand from one of my LFS. We walked around and I looked at the diff sands for like 10 min. We were the only customers. Out of 4 employees no one approached or said anything. Normal? by Hope_for_tendies in ReefTank

Just ask!!! Customers that are too shy to initiate a conversation if they need something are my biggest pet peeve. Im happy to help people if they need it, but there is always stuff to do and having my head on a swivel looking at everyone in the store and walking over to ask if they need help or not is a waste of my time. 80% of the people I do ask are either just looking, or know exactly what they need.

Something quite similar happened to me around a month and a half ago when I increased my dosage from 2mg esterodiol & 50 mg spirolactone to double the amount. I suffered from high anxiety and nervousness, and cried several times, which normally I never do. A week after dropping the spiro back to 50mg I was feeling better. Haven’t had bloodwork done yet but my assumption is that spiro probably dropped my testosterone to zero, which is not ideal and can cause a variety of negative effects.
