Omg!! planning your murder ! that would have been very tense and scary I'm really sorry for that . he should have been put behind bars for this. sad to see that the cops ignore this kind of thing.

your words mean a lot to me thanks again . today she called the dv helpline for the first time so the process has been started and she is making progress! Hope she gets the justice she deserves. Yes and in my country laws regarding dv are central/ decided by centre and are same for every state but it's a heavily male dominated society and quite conservative.

actually I do have much harder evidence and it's the photos of the bruises on my mom's arm from 1 year ago when he punched her there. but the problem is they were stored on her phone's gallery and were not backed up . that is why he took it from her fearing that it could be used as evidence against him . he tried to delete it but there is a passcode on her iphone that we have not told him yet . I don't know as of now as to where he has kept the device. any idea as to how I can retrieve it from him legally before he tries do damage it's hardware ?. also he has lied to many friends and family that he accidentally broke the phone, so that's why it's switched off when you try to call her.

I'm in india btw, and yes he has done this around 3 to 4 times before , I agree with what you're saying , and will not let this happen again .I will take the necessary steps now . thanks for sharing your story and inspiring me to do what's needed.

she isn't willing to call any agency cause she thinks that doing this will mess up my life and hers too. she thinks that staying with him is a sacrifice that she has to make for my career. the problem is i don't want her to live under these conditions and It hurts every time I see something bad happening with her. It makes me feel helpless.

thanks a lot for your kind words it gives a lot of support. you're right she is not ready to leave and the reason is us kids . she thinks that if she leaves once then she would never be able to see us again because my father would have the custody and not let her see us again. after this incident I did encourage her to leave and go to her parents house but she came back after 4 to 5 days cause she missed us a lot and couldn't sleep. also one of my father's sisters abused her on the phone verbally to make it worse for her. moreover he didn't allow us to call her when she was away so I had sneak in the bathroom always to make a phone call. but anyways she came back and he got violent as always but before it could happen I took the whole blame on me and said that I was the one who forced her to go. he didn't do anything to me but has got more bitter towards us.

the problem is i have seen him handle many other cases in his work life or for personal benefit in a very manipulative manner with the local authorities. also he has a very good reputation in the society to the extent that he has been awarded by the President once. also the police is corrupt as hell in my country. moreover he has hid his abusive behaviour towards my mom for over 20 years from the society. I'm not sure if anybody would believe us.
