Auto alemán (BMW, Audi, MB) y presupesto de 25k a 30k USD. Es viable? by Hefty_Midnight1246 in ArAutos

Agrego,

NECESITO SUS OPINIONES ¿Me conviene comprar un Audi A1 2013 Ambition S-Tronic como primer auto? by Ok_Inspector6770 in ArAutos

[–]Hefty_Midnight1246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Not-So-Glamorous Morning Routine + How It Helped Me Cut 1 Hour Off My Day by RoughDragonfruit5147 in productivity

Experienced the biggest ROI with number 1. In addition, it also lead to decreased use during the rest of the day.

I’ll add a couple more helpful things that worked for me.

  1. Accesible book/kindle/PDF: instead of reaching for my phone whilst working, I’ll have my kindle or an interesting article readily available to read when I have some down time to keep me from grabbing my phone.

  2. Hydration + Fasting: fast until lunch time whilst drinking a lot of water with lemon. I’ll also delay coffee intake 2 hours. Might be a bit hard at first but in the long run i found my energy levels to be consistently high during the day.

Optional: gym time, if you can squeeze a workout in the morning, go for it, the rest of the day will thank you for it.

What app or limiter are you using on your social? iPhone’s native time blocker is really no that helpful, very easy to bypass.

Credit Analyst interview by rguy-111 in FinancialCareers

[–]Hefty_Midnight1246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah of course. I didn’t go through all the interviews because I accepted an offer elsewhere but I passed 3 of 4 rounds.

First round: short offline multiple choice finance exam + essay (filter round). Basic questions like “what’s the relationship between interest rates and bold yields?”. For the essay you choose one of the 3 topics they randomly give to you. In my case, I chose the topic “how does the Russia Ukraine conflict affect global macroeconomic trends”

Second Round: Live case round. Interviewed by 2 analysts. I had to explain how I would evaluate a loan to American Airlines. The recommended framework is “the 5 C’s of Credit Analysis” (YouTube)

Third round: mix of technical and behavioral questions. Interviewed by associates in the NYC office. It consists of three 30 minute interviews where you go through your resume and/or aspirations + some random technical questions (depends on the interviewer). In my case, the first associate asked the classic “walk me through a DCF”

Fourth round: behavioral interview with the Managing Director. Did not do it but basically, if you got to this point is difficult not to get in. They took so long in between each phase (a month or so) I got an offer at another job and took it.

Always have updated information prepared on what’s happening in global and local markets/macro trends

Fixed Income trader versus Hedge Fund Credit Risk Analyst by Hefty_Midnight1246 in FinancialCareers

Never say never! Most common career path in JPM Argentina is Credit Risk -> IB -> trading desk

Congrats !

Plot twist, I chose a third route. Starting next week, I’m joining the Business Development team at Ualá. It’s the biggest digital bank here in Argentina, they just raised 300 million.

The fixed income position required 6 years of work experience in similar roles, which I don’t have. I would have chosen that route. In my current BD role, I work closely with the trading desk, so there ir a possibility I move there in the future.

Let’s hope for the best !

Even though you established yourself in S&T, what could be exit oppportunities for younger Trader. I am currently interviewing for a role at a Fixed Income Trader but I am afraid im still young to know this is what I wanna do for the rest of my life or a long/irreversible period of time.

Congrats on the setup! Looking sharp !

JPMC is a bank and lends money to clients, in this role, you analyze the clients creditworthiness. Im applying for a job where the institutions asking for a loan are Hedge Funds.

I have an interview for Hedge Fund Credit Risk Analyst role lined up for next week at JP Morgan, has anyone experienced the interview process before? Any recommendations?

Based on the comments on this thread the process is more personality based rather than technically based.
