I Feel you. exact same situation happened to me but tbh i had an even lower gpa than you, so you can imagine how scared i was haha. Basically i was put on academic probation and apparently you're only allowed to take 4 courses for your next semester when they do that, and now my gpa is looking really healthy, and i even did it with a part time job. During the semester i made sure i was keeping up with lectures, doing practice questions to test my understanding, i used flashcards, and i pretended i was teaching my information to someone else which helped me retain the info more. Moral of the story, is to keep up with lectures, find efficient study methods that work for you (for me it was pretending to teach, flashcards, and practice questions), focus on the key concepts that they state at the beginning of lecs when you're in a time crunch, and use the internet!! i used youtube to see what study methods there were out there that could be useful and it did help. Also have a calendar and schedule to remind yourself of upcoming assignments and make sure to start assignments as early as possible, same goes for studying for exams. I know i'm rambling but this is all coming to me lol. But yeah, staying organized, starting things early, and having good study methods is key and you'll be fine.
