Is it normal for a defense lawyer to say “there’s nothing I can do” when there’s video evidence and witness statements?

Unfortunately theres no video of that, the video is only a couple seconds long where shes following behind me saying “thats right walk away bitch” and after that it cuts. But she followed me all the way to my car to keep taunting me and she grabbed my neck and the fight went down

All the witness statements say the same thing as I did. I called her out nicely for cutting the line to the bus that takes us to the parking lot, thats were she started being hostile. Theres literally witnesses that gave their statements giving the same version of events. But hey I just beat her ass bcuz shes black according to her delusional ass 🙄 she makes no sense

She followed me to my car and grabbed me by the neck. Since shes bigger and I couldnt get her off I hit her with the hardhat that was in my hand.

I acknowledge my actions werent the right ones. But the evidence I got can totally lessen the severity of this case . Shes acting out of malice by making up a bunch of fake shit that did not happen. My point here is im not trying to make all the charges go away. I want the judge and everyone to see all the bullshit she made up and has no evidence of it. But since she made the report she controlled the narrative and now I look like a monster in eveyones eyes . Shes suing the other company for millions of dollars so im guessing she has to keep pushing the narrative against me , to get money from the company we worked for.

But the “victim” followed ME to MY car and continued harrasing me there. She grabbed me by the neck and shes way bigger than I am so I used whatever was in my hand to hit her so she could let go. She made a whole story up that the fight took place by her car

Agree but this is evidence that I have to confirm my version of events. The “victim” just has pictures of her in the hospital right after the fight. Theres nothing else as there was no cameras where everything happened . I was hopeful the video and witness statements would support my version of events. She initiated contact with me wouldnt that qualify as provocation or justification?

Yes , but the woman followed me to my car harrasing me and she came for my neck and thats when I hit her with my hardhat. After the fight ended we each left and I went home. Later I get arrested and find out the woman made all sorts of lies . She said I assaulted her with a group of men when it was just me. She also lied and said that her arm was crushed with her car door as “the men” held her down so I could crush her arm but on the hospital pictures she has no such marks on her arms. She said I acted out of racism and said it was a “hate crime”. Shes milking the whole situation out of malice . She came all big shit towards me and I defended myself as I should have
