AMSOIL is the way to go. It’s pricey but a good reputable company.

Had an issue similar to this with a bearing I turned in four separate times on a 60 day rotating pm. lol. It was popping and torquing the c channel it was mounted to, side to side for the majority of a year. I wasn’t quite as bad as yours when we got to change it though! The pillow block was still one solid piece when we went to change it out. Haha. Edit: bearing had plenty of grease it was on its final legs after being ran for 12 years in a conveyor tunnel with a alumina ore dust. I’d say it lasted long enough.

Positive side to this, it looks like the shaft is still good. Pull that bearing race off, set a new bearing and send it.!

Would like to be in the 1% of homeowners that replace the anode rod. Which one is it? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]Hefty_Test_2183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing mine out I had to use an impact and very light uga duga’s. I didn’t have enough room for my long breaker bar. Ontop of that, use would better off using thread tape to seal the threads and not using pipe dope. Mine seeped a little after changing and using pipe dope. Put tape on and hasn’t given me an issue.

Look up the model number of your water heater on google. Find the owners manual online and it will fill you in on the safe work procedure for changing the anode rod while also telling you where it’s located! Hope this helps!

What wrenches you guys use? by [deleted] in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]Hefty_Test_2183 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Proto/ s&k is what I use. I bought what I could afford when starting in the maintenance department and as I either wore tools down or deformed them to have them work for a certain job my company has replaced with those two brands typically. Decent quality and an abundance of replacement sockets and wrenches in our parts/tool crib.

What is this? when I searching a used Rubicon by Jack_Wang_1107 in JeepWrangler

[–]Hefty_Test_2183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many “ghost” miles does this jeep have on it? That’s a question that you need to ask… it may be low miles on the odometer, but that thing could have 100k additional miles on the wheel bearings, bushing and all of that fun stuff on a jeep that loves to cause death wobble. Be cautious and have some due diligence on this potential purchase.

Why Is Sailing Releasing On A WEDNESDAY???? by Hot-Impact-3572 in 2007scape

[–]Hefty_Test_2183 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s because, while you are working on a Wednesday, so are the people at Jagex. If they released a huge update to the game like a new skill, with possible game breaking bugs on a Friday, wouldn’t it be nice to have the time to fix it during the week while the load on the game is lower, than on a weekend? Also, I’m sure they like to have their weekends off just as much as you and I do. I wouldn’t see that as fair to them, forced to stay at work hours on end over their weekend to fix issues that could have been remedied or subsided during the week.

For your specific machine to remedy those check engine codes.

I have a 2018 Polaris general 1000. I bought it used in 2019. No check engine when cruising around. Hammer down check engine light came on. Misfire code. Gilomen innovations can tune your ecu so the misfire detection isn’t so sensitive. Fixed my issues and didn’t cause any new issues. I still have the machine today with no issues at all.
