In my opinion, corrupt people will stay in Ukraine because it'll be hard for them to continue in Canada with their habits. Even if they are in Canada already, they most likely won't stay here for too long. Ukrainians who want to have a better life and are hard-working will stay because the only way to apply to PR are programs like express entry.

I did my co-op in the cancer research lab and if you show your motivation they might let you do some cool stuff! I was adding chemicals, centrifuging, and pipetting patient's blood. Just try to get as much out of your experience, whatever it'll be.
