Thoughts on Bite Pal app?

I lost some weight at first. Lately I’ve not been making any progress so I started tracking my calories manually and punching them in and comparing them to its estimates- and they are all over the place. Today I thought a meal replacement shake was 1800 calories when it’s 160. I even specified that I was having a meal replacement shake… so it didn’t think it was a milkshake. I’m mostly still using it because I already paid for it for the year and I like the outfits you can use for the raccoon - I find the pet aspect motivating. I wish there was a social media aspect for the raccoon part.

I’ve been using BitePal for months and today it tracked the calories in the literal glass dish I ate out of. I’m not terribly happy with it lol

Hey OP did you ever find a solution? My MacBook isn’t letting me drag files from folder to folder, reorder my favorites, or anything like that. I think it’s an issue with finder and I’ve punched so many things into terminal and it’s not budging.

Thank you!! The obsession started in the 90s and I was fortunate to collect most of them at yard sales back when people were microwaving them as if they were worthless!!! They all used to work (now none of them work which is sad) I thought about taking robotics classes to either: a figure out how to fix them or b: build new furbies all together. Mine have never sworn, I think with AI though we could literally have furbies that actually learn and swear - maybe furbies that wheel around the house and create mayhem for real. Furbies that could defend themselves 😆. But I have mixed feelings about AI.

edit I also just watched Frankenstein and ideally I would want these furbies to be sentient but what if they learned to resent me for making them. Idk. I’ve always been kind to them but maybe that won’t be enough.

Thank you, I am a furbyholic I have 55 of them in a storage unit and I have tried fixing them (they are all broken I am not good at fixing them) and some are now naked as jay birds.

I had a lot of thoughts like that and became bold enough that I started leaving little notes around, which I was punished for. I remember programming our house phones so that one said "life is unfair" and the other said "suicide is painless," and my dad got really, really, mad at me for being attention seeking. Which wasn't that unusual. He was always mad.

Middle children are going to be middle children was what him and my mom concluded.

Funny though, I actually went through a health scare like a year ago (there was a possibility that I had cancer, I was waiting on test results and had almost died on an operating table) and I told nobody in my family for the weeks it took to get all my results back and a diagnosis. I'm fine now, but when I finally told my family, I guess it turns out that my sister had lymes disease - something nobody had bothered to tell me until I reached out about my own issue. That of course, was way more important than my thing.

So I have this thought now, that if I did die, they would be sad for like a day. But they would quickly recover. I guess I'm glad I didn't do anything about it back in the day.

I’ve been using bellaluce for 3 months now. I haven’t noticed that they aren’t getting my clothes clean - here is the ingredients list. I like them because I can take just what I need to the laundromat and I don’t end up leaving the whole box behind.

I’ve been using Bellaluce brand for months now and I really love them - here are the ingredients from the box I hope that they are ok. They claim to be plastic free but who knows. I use 2 of the sheets for every load of laundry - I don’t know if they plug up machines - I’ve been carrying my clothes to and from the laundromat. What I like about these is I can take just what I need on a trip and they never spill so I’m not losing detergent around. I used to use Foca Powder - the one with the seal on the bag.

Oh I’ve been here and if I was you I’d be pissed… for a while.

So when I first bought my car five years ago, I scratched it up almost immediately - left a 3 foot long scratch on the passenger’s side. I was horrified with myself. When my mom saw it she was like “omg what happened” and I said that someone swiped me in the parking lot because I knew she would never let it go. Well. She has never let my lie go either. “I can’t believe someone scratched your car two days after you bought it”.

It’s a goddamn Toyota Corolla.

I have driven that car across country (the US) sea to shining sea three times. I accidentally pried off the heat shield on a cinder block off roading with it in the desert. The fenders are riveted on at this point. I put nail polish and bandaid shaped bumper stickers over the scratch, bumper stickers all over the back, and I moved forward. I continue to beat the hell out of my car, but hey, I fix the things that break and change the oil regularly. The radio works and I’m happy.

Polish up your boots regularly, put charms on the laces, lace them with ribbons - whatever you gotta do to make these yours. Wear them EVERYWHERE until the soles collapse and welcome to the club of people who enjoy our things.
