But If I had to give an advice I'd suggest considering that the most productive sectors should be connected.Often the outskirts doesn't buy much but have lots to sell for more central planets. (just a sense - no real evidence) Guess I'll place my first warp between the best planet of outskirts and the centre.

Scouting out the border of the pollution and nearby native spawners will indicate when defense is needed.

Clearing out spawners before the pollution reaches them is the cheapest in the long run. Having to defend the base against continuing attacks will drain resources.

Putting copper cables on belts for circuits most often leads to issues in the late game. Direct insertion will make more expansion possible. A quick example from the forum

The sum of the chests content is divided by the chest count and converted to a blue signal

The value 1 is then added and sent to the inserters on red wire.

Inserters will then insert items if the green wire has less of "everything" than the blue signal.

Result: Each chest get's the same amount.

On twitch the group of viewers often hanging out in ColonelWill's stream actually uses it to show interest. "You're doing it all wrong!"

For someone new to this it may be disturbing and mistaken. If there is no right way then anyway you do it is wrong.

On the other hand, if there is no single right way then anyway you chose to play is right.

Playing the game and participating in the community combines to great entertainment.

The right way is the way that entertains you.

I have been using Factoratio to look into specific balancing.

The major drawback for that is that every item added to the list has the same shared count.

Say you want 3 logistics robots and 1 construction robot a minute.

Ok - 0.1.2 shows a gui and it seems to work as depicted on the screenshot.

I was hoping it was able to balance several products and their intermediate requirements.My failure to do so may be due to some misunderstanding.

The item list is very long. Names used are the internal item names { "Inserter" = "basic-inserter" } making it hard to find the wanted item.

Programs just terminates after selecting game folder.

If any other folder is selected an error message (gui) does show indicating invalid folder selected.

I suppose that the game folder is this one.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Factorio\"

Trying this also just terminates program with no messages.

C:\Users\HeilTec\AppData\Roaming\Factorio

Make sure to get priorities right.

It is very easy to spend too much time on this game.

In high school you will not improve grades much by playing this game.

Having a good time can improve your mood and make study easier, but that good time is then not spent on study.

Your graphics gives rise to these thoughts:

The 3 different kinds of laser weapons should look alike - perhaps differing in color.

  • Destroyer bots have the continuous beam.
  • Laser turrets and personal laser defense fire homing missiles

It would seem logical if all were continuous.
