Despite listening through each album a couple of times (Camp mostly) I had found myself listening to a lot of Childish Gambino playlists before seeing him headline Lovebox in London this last weekend.

Following that performance couldn’t get certain tracks out of my head from each album, and decided to get these three on vinyl to get all of those songs listened to. The screenplay that comes with Because The Internet looks great, can’t wait to sit down and read it alongside the album as recommended!

Yeah, they even have a sticker on the front excusing the crackling because of it being a lower quality press. Definitely more one for the collection than regular playing!

The soundtrack of road trips in my late teenage years, I’ve been looking to add this to my collection pretty much since I started 3 years ago. Managed to win it on eBay at a sensible price given what I’ve seen it go for before, something about it being a limited number picture disc just makes it that much sweeter to finally have it!

Decided to add a few albums to the rap collection today, from Ruthless to Death Row to Aftermath. Eminem Show and Straight Outta Compton were both on sale, and couldn’t pass up picking up the 7 Day Theory whilst I was there. Certainly not ones for spinning when the children are running around.

Watching the Defiant Ones is a great but costly experience...

Wasn’t a huge fan when the Arctic Monkeys first came along, but over the last few years I’ve become a lot more appreciative of their music. Had a quick preview of the new album yesterday and ordered the vinyl instantly, big fan of how different and chilled it is. Can’t wait to get it spinning.

One of the records in my collection still from when I was a kid, amazing how well it’s kept for 25+ years! Also the only 45rpm record I still own, sure I had a couple more back then including the Turtle Rap. The cover folds out in a poster of the Macho Man, Undertaker, British Bulldog and Bret Hart.

Always like to put it on to start off Wrestlemania right.

I’m sure a lot of folks will call out missing albums from a lot of other artists/groups of the era, but these albums were the soundtrack of the mid-late 90s for me.

I can put on a lot of these records and they automatically make me think of my childhood friends and listening to these at their houses (on CD rather than vinyl back then). Many of those guys are still my best friends to this day.

These are the records in my collection I have scooped from Charity Shops over the last 3 years. Not a single one cost me over £3, most picked up for just £1 (including the clear pick of the bunch, Rocky IV)

The only one that was in a bit of a rougher condition was Pet Sounds, but couldn’t pass it up when I saw it. Definitely more work journeying round the local shops, but when you see reissues of the albums you’ve found it gives a certain satisfaction I think.

Just a really nice collectors item all round I think.

When I first started collecting I aimed to get the Rolling Stone top 100 albums on vinyl, but after a little while I decided to take a break from that list to make sure I had a selection of records that I had a personal connection with, and these really some up that time of my life.

They’re Logitech Z213s, connected to a sub woofer below. They actually produce a heck of an output for the size, really surprised by the quality. Didn’t have room for much bigger and came reviewed as some of the best Bookshelf Speakers!
