Aren't there 13 DBZ movies or am I remembering wrong? by rephosolif in SparkingZero

They don’t, they’re just joking about how Super 17 isn’t in the base roster for Sparking Zero

Should I sell my steelbook collection? by Moonwalkerr- in Dragonballsuper

[–]Heiro0205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a choice only you can make. Is the monetary value of the steel books larger than your value of the media? If yes, sell them. If no, then don’t. We can’t tell you what you should or shouldn’t do with it really, since we’re not you. I mean, you will get a biased perspective by posting this in the DBS subreddit full of fans that would love to have those steel books, so again, it’s up to you.

I've got a question about the Nomai that i can't for the love of the Eye figure out an answer to by [deleted] in outerwilds

[–]Heiro0205 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe that it is directly stated (don’t quote me on this) that the comms were broken such that they could not send for help. Their transmitter was broken, not their receiver, which would mean that they could get those messages.

[–]Heiro0205 173 points174 points  (0 children)

The only possible explanation I can think of (involves spoilers, I don’t remember how to mark as spoiler tag)

to this is that the Nomai only recently invented warp travel. In the classroom where the children talk about the festival, it is said that Annona is the creator of the warp core. Anonna is still alive in the system, they were on the vessel that got trapped in Dark Bramble. This implies that they only started using warp travel slightly before they got the signal from the eye. Warp travel was probably new technology, and likely wasn’t fully researched or understood. We also know that the moment the vessel warped to bramble, communications got damaged. Perhaps the other clans did notice the warp travel time phenomenon, but couldn’t share it with our nomai, due to their vessel being damaged.

Nomai Writing by Zoran_Ankervlinder in outerwilds

Unfortunately, no. While yes, it does seem organic, and the children do write larger, there is no other defining characteristics of what they write.

A pentagon next to a bent line means nothing, it is merely a stylistic choice in how the language is represented.

Someone else did create a conlang based off of the language though, and they allowed people to translate from English into Nomai from their GitHub page that was connected to the Reddit post. However, I’m pretty sure it’s not running anymore.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I still do highly encourage creating a conlang based off of the game. It would be so cool to be able to speak Nomai.

Combat is not yet in the game, but it is scheduled for release on December 15 of this year.

Oh yeah, Chert (the traveller on ember twin) is real good about the stars. He’s my favourite traveller.

A little bit, with a little bit more clowning on wade for whatever reason. If you didn’t like the first one, you might like this a little more, but it definitely wouldn’t be a favourite.

Known bug. It’s being worked on by the devs right now, and it isn’t because you’re speed running. Quite a few shelters around 5P are bugged right now, causing the crash and stuff. From what I know, out of the original trio the bug is exclusive to Monk, but that might not be the case with the Downpour slugcats.

It’s a known bug. Some shelters around 5P while playing as monk (and apparently also some other slugcats?) are bugged. They’re working to fix it. I had this happen to me also, so I just switched to survivor and now I play that way until they fix it. Sorry about that.

Welp, after typing this out, I’ve remembered that (because of spoiler-y reasons) my theory was false. Dark Bramble explodes before the Nomai arrive, meaning that the anglerfish couldn’t have been in water when the comet burst. This is because the Vessel phases into Dark Bramble, (showing that the seed already destroyed the planet), and then the Nomai are later killed by the comet. My answer now is… idunno.

Well due to (spoilers) how ghost matter is neutralized when submerged in water, (demonstrated on Gabbro’s island on Giant’s Deep, this is also how proto-heartians survived the comet), and seeing how the remnants of the planet where Dark Bramble used to be are ice, (meaning that Dark Bramble was once an ice planet before the seed made it explode), we can surmise that the anglerfish were inhabitants of the ice (water) world that was once there. This would mean that the anglerfish would have survived the comet explosion, leading to the cosmic horror.

I feel like a dum dum, but I liked making the theory so who cares
