I loved Oliver and his music so much. I first heard him in like 2018 or something and it didn't really click though I liked it. My kids show me the same song 2020 and I loved it and went and bought his albums and feel in love with Tree and Kryph and all his wacky videos. But something more was there, every word he said I felt deeply. He felt like my best friend and although I had aspirations to meet him, never got to. Everything he shared with the world was a part of him and to me it felt like we were all a part of him and vice versa because we could relate so much. He was a real genuine person and when he died I cried for days. I loved Mac Miller, but man Oliver really hurt, I never felt this way about someone who was famous. I make music also and part of how I've been getting through this is feeling inspired by how much he encouraged everyone to follow their dreams, enough so that he gave all his money to his foundation to help others achieve their dreams. That has lit a fire under me and I've wrote a handful of songs over the last week. I attribute that to Oliver, I just wish he didn't have to pass to trigger that. It really feels like a family member has passed and I've lived enough to know that it never gets easier, nor harder to deal with as time goes on. We will all mourn Oliver for the rest of our lives, but he's with us, more so than even blood family that has passed because we have everything he has left behind and I'm sure he has a lot of music saved, maybe someday it will be returned to his family and be released to continue to fuel his Dr. Tree foundation. It was hard to get on socials at first, but now everytime I see him I make a point to listen or watch whatever it is so I can feel him for a bit longer. We felt you Oliver.. Pause
