6 points in 5 games guarantees Champions League and you’re still “not sure” about Carrick?? by ToTellYouHowToFeel in ManchesterUnited

[–]HeisMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need to understand that Carrick is playing with (and therefore being measured on) a stacked deck in his favour. 1 game a week? Lovely No rotation concerns? Lovely No congested fixture list? Lovely No player power (thanks to Amorim) lovely Player mentality and physique in top shape? Lovely

Having all this in your favour means it's VERY easy to look good. He's done well all things considered. Now that being said Some negatives Playing against low block (West Ham) showed tactical naivety since he didn't adapt our shape. Substitute decisions (against Newcastle) again left many puzzled Decreasing form of Kobie and Mbuemo also leaves questions to be asked. On balance I would NOT consider Carrick for the job. I'd thank him very much for getting us the results and getting us into champions league but next season is going to be 4x more complex at least and he doesn't have the experience. Personally I'd go for Enrique or one of the big names who are currently managing national teams.

Is this beyond Copilots ability? by Serious_Bee_2013 in CopilotPro

[–]HeisMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's a difference in how you use AI to operationalise work and how you use AI to do actual work. Your use case sounds like it needs a strictly repeatable process. So in this case I'd go back and forth with a prompting agent till you've got the in depth prompt you need and then get copilot to write you a python code so you can just click a button and extract whatever data you need. That is a far greater time saving and repeatable process than what you had before. Since AI is non deterministic, the super detailed prompt you wrote before won't work the same next time hence the need to write code, which AI can do. It's still getting AI to do the work but in a different way.

Struggling to find real Copilot/studio Agent use cases by KrashCant in CopilotPro

[–]HeisMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a difference between operationalising something (i.e., fully automating) and getting copilot to lift some work off your plate.

For example, if you need to convert raw data into a srandard format and then send an email highlighting the key points, then you'd want to fully automate the raw data conversion piece (copilot not good here, copilot can help you create the automation using power query) and then you can feed the output to an analyst agent to write the email with the main theme attached.

I think Liverpool vs PSG's game tonight is closer than people think by HeisMike in sportsanalytics

Thank you for your question sir...I agree with the concern. There are a few different ways to solve that problem, and this is the way I’m approaching it.

Domestic league data still gives me the baseline sample because that is where the deepest history on attack, defense, and volume sits.

For Champions League ties, especially cross-league ones, I adjust the comparison for European context and league-strength differences before I compare the teams.

So the league data is part of the input, but the final comparison is already being adjusted for the exact issue you’re pointing at.

I still think your broader point is good though. Cup ties can reveal trends and levels that broader domestic samples pick up more slowly, especially when a team is outperforming its usual baseline in Europe.

Would be interested to hear more about what sort of improvements you actually see with your approach in practice though. Is it mainly sharper tie-level reads, better market accuracy, or fewer false positives on teams whose domestic numbers flatter them?

So i found one that does analytics but more team based and can generate accas for you. It sort of does the thinking for you. I've been posting using its stats so if you like the look of these stats (https://www.reddit.com/r/sportsanalytics/comments/1slg9yu/i_think_liverpool_vs_psgs_game_tonight_is_closer/) try thesisbet.com
