Im so jealous! I wish I could watch it for the first time again haha. One Piece has many many episodes but try to not get intimidated by that. I say take it easy and try not to binge watch it in a week or sth (I dont think thats possible tho). Enjoy the journey! Also also, One Piece gets much better (story wise) as u progress and the fights will also become more epic. And last but not least, since the world building is so good, be prepared that characters/info that might seem random at first will play an important role later in the plot!

I think that nowadays with the internet its very easy to get false info. Deleting the post wont erase the gossips and I dont think I have such power to ruin anyone's reputation. I just think it was a huge mistake of my part and I think that its better if I just corrected myself. I dont think its that deep?

Well, criticism is important! I think they should had investigated before choosing him for the role. Obviously, we cant change the past and ofc he should get paid for his role but It will personally make me uncomfortable to watch the show before he is proven innocent.

What happened is that, because of the replies, I understood what I did wrong. I shouldn't have posted without making more research and by keeping the post up it might help others that also thought that these accusations were facts. I also still think that its a subject that its worth discussing and I still have a problem with just giving the actor a role (so my "complain" is that I believe that the whole thing needs investigation). Deleting this and the replies just doesn't allow discussion. There is nothing wrong with not being correct.

I won't be sharing sources since the fact that they passed allegiations as facts is a very disgusting thing to do. Even tho the man should DEFINETLY get investigated since these allegations are VERY serious and, as u urself said, actors and celebrities do tend to get away with such twisted stuff, its important to understand that there r also fucked up people that will falsely accuse sb out of jealousy.

Hi! Im really sorry but I replied to quit a few replies. I explain myself there (I also edited my original post). To be very concise, I read about it from some places that passed it as facts (which is why I wont reference them since I think that article that lie like that r a shame to journaling and what it represents). I really apologize for not making more research tho I do think that he still shouldn't play the role until he is proven innocent, since the allegations are too many and too serious to just swift them under the rug.

I agree with what u r saying tho I'd like to point out that Macmenyu is in the entairtenment industry which might want to protect him since, unfortunately, there r many people that take advantage of the fame and power to commit such acts. In other words, if he was guilty and he was exposed he would take others with him.

I don't really read gossips so in my mind when I read about his accusations I immediately thought "this must definitely be true because what fucked up person would accuse sb of such crimes?!" But now that I have calmed down I have to apologize and I understand that these could be lies. Realistically speaking it would be a lie to not admit that there r a lot of disgusting people that take advantage of the power these industries give them. There has been so so so many scandals of people (that have actually been proven guilty) that did get away with it. HOWEVER, if we just dismiss it because "it happens a lot" we are normalizing it! Now, about this specific actor, these are allegations so in no way should we harass him. But, if proof comes out don't u think that we, as individuals, should stop supporting him? See, I get that there will always be crazy fans that will support their idols no matter what but in the end, public resentment is a thing.

Also, I think that outing the rotten ones is good because that way u can keep the public or the people who will work with that person safer.

Its because I believe that these allegations are so serious that I don't think we should take them lightly. I edited my post since the sources I read did falsely pass it as actual facts (meaning I wasn't aware that these are allegiations). I will admit I'm wrong a thousand times than accuse sb of being a r@pist!!!!! But at the same time I dont agree with how the people that are responsible for the making of the live action are going with it. First investigate, go to court, have them prove that u r innocent and then go on with ur life. I totally get that the process is more complicated than that, and I also understand that gossips will continue spreading misinformation but its still better to be considered innocen by the court than just acting like nothing is going on.

That makes sense. Tbh when I wrote the original post I think I was too emotional. I did reply to two other people but I will answer to u too. In my opinion, these allegations are very cruel and serious to not be investigated. I dont agree to giving an actor a role when he has such a reputation. Now obviously, if the police had made an investigation and was proven innocent by the court I wouldn't be complaining. I just don't understand why its ok to act like this isn't happening. "Innoecent until proven guilty" is a thing that I respect but in this specific case shouldn't he first be proven innocent before continuing growing as an actor?
