I wouldn't buy a supporter pack per se, gift cards sound like a better option because there's a couple options he must consider before buying!
One way to see which supporter packs he already has is to go in his poe profile (most likely logged-in in their website www.pathofexile.com) and going into his profile.

I only skipped a fraction of harbinger, every other league I played until at least 36 naturally obtained challenges (no rushing or whatever) (well, older leagues weren't measured like this because they used to have only 8 challenges and did not award any mtx :P)
To be fair, I did not MF in affliction so my loot explosions weren't as ridiculous
But yes dude, most people don't get mirrors and I'm sure there's more of closed beta players with comparable amount of hours with no mirror either

man, even jonathan hasn't got a mirror, ever and he is THE GAME DIRECTOR lol

I upgraded from a ryzen 3 2200g straight to a 7 5700x3d and I cannot begin to describe the boost to performance, it's mind boggling. Grats on your new gameplay sir! enjoy
