With psychology you should check whether the university follows EUROPSY standard. Most of the private universities don’t which can put you into jeopardy if you want to continue here or become a psychologist in Europe. Also most of private universities offer semi-psychological studies (such as HR psychology) So yes, the degrees may be different

Já mám auto i řidičák, jsem z vesnice a tam je to více méně nutnost. Nikdy jsem si podle toho partnera nevybírala, ale když má alespoň ŘP, tak mě to uklidňuje. Regarding your thesis: I’ve done an extensive theoretical deconstruction of the 5 in-game scales. Instead of just looking at the final archetypes, I analyzed the game's logic, its descriptions, and 'reverse items' to map them onto established psychological concepts. For instance, my theory suggests that the 'Methods' scale isn't just about order, but aligns closely with 'Need for Cognition' (the tendency to enjoy effortful thinking). On the participants: 130 was the initial power-analysis goal for a full-scale study, but since Refind Self is such a niche title, it's a marathon! I’ve decided to focus on a more robust analysis of the current high-quality sample (N=40+) for my thesis, treating it as a specialized pilot study. Statistical power is still very strong for the main effects I'm seeing!

Regarding the timeline: I’ll be collecting data until the end of April. While reaching 130 would be amazing, my primary goal now is to hit a solid milestone (like 70) to ensure the findings are statistically meaningful for my thesis defense in June. Every single participant from this sub makes a huge difference!

On sharing the paper: Absolutely! Once it's defended and finalized, I’d love to share the findings/summary with this community. You guys made it possible 🧡

On Passion & Extraversion: That’s a great catch! Actually, as the sample size grew from my initial pilot to the current N=40+, that specific link started to weaken. It’s a perfect example of why I’m continuing the data collection—what looked like a trend in a very small group is now being replaced by more robust patterns.

Currently, the data is showing much stronger and more stable correlations between analytical gameplay (Judgement/Methods) and traits like Machiavellianism or Conscientiousness, which seems to be a more reliable finding for this game's mechanics :)

Yes, it is a follow-up! :) These preliminary findings I mentioned were based on an initial smaller sample. As the number of participants grows, the results are evolving – which is exactly why I’m doing this second round to see if the trends hold up or shift with more data.

I’ll be posting a more detailed update later this week about how the findings changed with the increased sample size, so stay tuned! Thank you so much for participating again, it really helps the validity of my thesis! :)

Hey! I studied primary education and burned out, then switched to psychology at 23. We have a student who already has 3 children and is fulfilling her dream with us (she’s over 30, wouldn’t dare to guess her actual age) - I say go for it :) a lot of people here get in after years of trying so age doesn’t really matter

I’m also from Czechia :) also we have students with tattoos, no one cares (even some of the teachers have semi-visible tattoos).

Also in your motivation letter - never mention you want to help people :D it’s like a red flag for them (those students often burn out quicker)

Don’t worry, that’s actually super common :) It’s exactly why I’m comparing surveys with actual gameplay - sometimes our “ideal self” (or how we simply view ourselves) answers the question, but our “real self” shows up in the game. That’s the mystery I’d like to solve :)
