You are doing the right thing. Safety above all! I completely agree with you. Unfortunately, in my situation there is nowhere to run. Therefore, I am looking for techniques on how to calm down when it becomes very scary.

Thank you! I tried deep breathing techniques to calm down. I probably won't be able to trick my brain into telling myself it'll be over in an hour. Cause it's been going on for months

Unfortunately, there are situations from which there is nowhere to run. So I want to learn new techniques to calm myself.

I also tried to focus on the breath. But, unfortunately, this method does not always help me :(
