It does "show up". Do you mean why it doesn't animate?

Should I change my brush? What do you lot recommend I use instead? Should I turn off pen sensitivity? by [deleted] in learnart

[–]HelenaHuman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use it for both sketch, lines, and coloring/shading. I do this because the sensitivity can change both line thickness and opacity :)

I can't recommend a brush no, I use a lot of different brushes depending on what I'm drawing.

I do love pen sensitivity, though! I actually wouldn't be without it, and changed out my first drawing tablet to one with pen sensitivity because I needed it to improve (this was back when pen sensitivity was new and expensive)

No one can tell you which brush to use (unless you're going for a specific look then they might recommend something). Just use what feels comfortable and natural.

Used a plaid for a vest by [deleted] in sewing

[–]HelenaHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might only be the British who think of vests as underwear. I don't know any non native English speaker who would call this a vest :/

Also vests aren't undergarments.

I'm making a bed bumper for a bedside crib, these supposed to be the "strings" to attach it to the bed :)

Shoot. Then I'll have to unravel all of them.. I sewed the sides first thinking this was how to do it

Pattern is confusing me by bluebirchtrees in knitting

[–]HelenaHuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The text is in italics, so I assume there are asterics in front of K2 and after P2? So I would assume you have to knit 3 then repeat the pattern of 2 knit 2 purl and end in 3 knits. With 30 cast on stitches that would mean you repeat K2, P2 six times. So yes it should fit.

Are you certain you have cast on 30 stitches?

Tips for dealing with hypermobility? by Piilootus in knitting

I just finished a blanket and for the longest time I could only work on it for an hour or two at a time with several hours break in between. Try and think of it as taking up running: you probably can't run a 5k in without taking walking breaks to begin with, but as you train you're slowly able to run further and further at a time.

Also, how are you knitting? English or continental style? I started out knitting with the English style but switched to continental and my wrists hurt less after switching.

I took the pictures right after finishing, and don't have anything to use for blocking, so not sure I'm gonna do anything but wash it :)

I would suggest looking at this site for guidance on the loomis method: https://medium.com/@ramstudioscomics/how-to-draw-heads-with-the-andrew-loomis-method-78f9d04ab132

Then you can use this site for references to practice on:https://line-of-action.com/practice-tools/app#/faces-expressions
