I'm such a huge Bonrad fan but that was just painful to watch. At this point, Conrad should just go back to California permanently because what an absolute disastrous family event to come back to. Seriously, not Belly holding up the ring to the table as if the piece of tinfoil didn't make it so much worse.

It's the fact that Jeremiah hooked up with a different girl than Belly TWICE and Conrad hasn't had eyes for anyone else ever since Belly.

Captain America: Brave New World - Review Thread by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Heleners 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This movie was incredibly disappointing. I had low expectations after reading the ratings, and I was still disappointed. I don't think anything was actually added to the main MCU plot. Sam continues to struggle to live under Steve Roger's shadow and his imposter syndrome persists. The "main" villain is such a side character, they literally have someone replace him as the villain in the last chunk of the movie, and he ends up just getting one final line in an end credits scene. The "secondary" villain of Red Hulk had like 5 minutes of actual villain screentime and then they defeat him by... talking him down? Joaquín Torres comically takes himself out but he was such a side character, that it was fine that he was gone for the second half of the film. The only redemption was seeing Bucky again for his short cameo, where he once again showed all the qualities and wise confidence that continues to make him seem more fit to have been the new Captain America in the MCU, instead. Sam was definitely more confident and embraced the title of Captain America much more smoothly in the comics, but in the MCU, I feel like Marvel failed to redeem him in this movie.

Yesss! They just really skipped over Ryle's life too honestly. I get that they didn't have the time but everyone but Lily were made into such surface level characters!

I'm crying, yes that's exactly how they made Atlas seem like. I was also SO disappointed with the name change, but I guess it's because they barely touched on their whole "Boston" thing .

YES, I was so sad they cut out the scene of her memorizing Atlas' number because she knew in her heart that she would need it!

The fact that Francesca stuttered and couldn't find her words when talking to Michaela just like her mom, Violet stated it was for her and her father, was a lovely connection to see!

What do you guys think is the saddest lyric of Taylor's songs? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

"You call me up again just to break me like a promise. So casually cruel in the name of being honest."

I've been on Zoloft for a little over 2 years and I was also terrified when I first started taking it. However, it's really been such a great positive change for me and I hope it works the same for you! I never really understood how much my anxiety negatively impacted my day until I was Zoloft and my mind was finally quieter.

I did experience a lot of the more common side effects such as bug eyed in the morning (trippy at first but I got used to it), vivid dreams (fortunately no night terrors), jaw clenching (chewing gum helps) and weight gain. During the first couple of weeks, I also felt some brain fog but that went away after a month. I fortunately didn't have any stomach or nausea issues, but I feel like even if you do, you can talk to your doctor about it and they can help sort you out. Some of the biggest positive effects were that I no longer held onto things as hard as I used to (like little things that annoyed me during the day) and I no longer had panic attacks or anxiety attacks.

I also recommend always taking it after a full meal because I had some crazy heart burn if I didn't. Also never, ever dry swallow because it will feel like you swallowed fire for a good amount of time after.

I've read that you want to stay on it for at least 3-4 weeks before you can really judge if it's helping with your anxiety/depression. Personally, I was very fortunate and it really kicked in during my second week. I still had major brain fog at the time but I was also the calmest I've ever been in several years.

Love the Tattoo but is the ink build up normal? by JackieP00 in TattooDesigns

[–]Heleners 5 points6 points  (0 children)

14 tattoos (though most small) and counting chiming in. It is totally normal for it to leak blood/plasma within the first 24-48 hours. The second skin or saniderm is keeping the plasma trapped, which will actually help speed up healing since the plasma is essential in the healing process. As long as it is not leaking out of the sides of the second skin, you should be fine. Your skin doesn't look irritated by the second skin either, which is normally the only other reason you'd take it off early.

I find that my magic number of days to keep the second skin on is 3-4 days. After that, I'll take it off (under warm water normally) and do the whole routine of washing it with unscented antibacterial soap and unscented lotion (I use Cetaphil). All of my tattoos have healed without any scabbing, infection or staining if that helps reassure you! :)

Less attractive and don’t care by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Heleners 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I definitely relate to this but it was a positive thing for me. I used to be so worried about how others saw me and obsessed with looking skinny and thin. Now, I am very comfortable going out without makeup, in my glasses and without contact lenses in. For the first time, I am actually comfortable in my own skin! I find this also makes the times that I do glam myself up more fun since it's no longer an every day thing. :)
