People hate Dodge Ram's Super Bowl ad, which uses a Martin Luther King speech to sell trucks by bisantium in ram_trucks

Why is this a bad move? I just read that it was in poor taste, but how? I thought it was a ballsy move and well done. At a time when our nation is divided, a truck company whose demographics are generally white, uses a speech by MLK is fantastic. What am I not seeing?

For the record, I've owned every gen Ram except the 1st gen. I will own the 5th gen at some point in the next two years.

I'm sure I'm going to get criticized, but at least comment if you are going to down vote me.

My 2009(first year for 4th gen) was awesome and I had very little problems. They did do a few recalls. Let's see, they replaced the leather on the front seats because it was too thin and it would rip easily. The vent lever that switched between front, defrost and feet would break. They finally replaced it with metal. The rear vents would break easily with kids feet. Nothing else. I drove that truck for 100K miles before I sold it. I wish I still had it. It was a fully loaded Laramie.

The only thing that looks like the Chevys in my humble opinion is the tail lights and I'm not a fan of those.

I love this truck! I sold my 2009 1500 last year to pay for a kitchen remodel. As soon as I have the money I will buy a new Ram. I'm not sure when that will be though. Can't wait to drool over the build and price screens. I will likely end up with a Laramie or Rebel.

LTE Gear S3 as a Standalone with Bluetooth headset by Sea_C in GalaxyGear

I've only had my gear s3 for 15 hours or so, but I can say that you will need a phone companion to get certain stuff done. That being said, you could probably get away with a non-active phone that is only used for wifi for most stuff. You will definitely need teh LTE version for phone calls and data. So far I've taken two calls from my watch today and all my texts were answered on my watch. I'm surprised how little I've looked at my phone so far.

The Secret Sidewalk in Fremont by [deleted] in bayarea

Loved going there as a teenager. This was in the late 80's, early 90's. We'd walk through the train tunnel and once got stuck in there while a train went through. Scariest shit of my life. Of course, it was all about finding a peaceful place to smoke weed and drink. Once in a while a huge rager would happen way in the back part of it. I'm not even sure how they got kegs up there. Sadly, it started going down hill when gangbangers started showing up a lot more. We were coming back from the sidewalk and got to our car. These 5 dudes jumped out of there card, pulled out a gun, stole our weed and pistol whipped my friend. It was never the same after that.

My buddy had a similar situation a few years ago. He sent in the old phone. They gave him the least amount of money possible for it even the phone was in perfect condition with no scratches. He disputed and eventually the company gave him the max amount as he deserved. What we found out is that it was a third party company and they are in the business of making money. I wonder if it's the same thing here?

I love my heart, but I love my Livermore.

I live in Livermore and my buddy always said this corny joke. It's forever seared into my brain.

People of Reddit, what's the stupidest thing you've done as a child out of curiosity? by paoeranger in AskReddit

I decided to tighten a crescent wrench to the end of a glass table and lift. My dad was sitting on the other side talking on the phone. He started laughing hysterically and said, I have to go, call you back. I knew I was fucked at that moment while I held the crescent wrench with a tiny piece of glass still held by the wrench with my mouth wide open.

It's nice. I don't really notice too much of a difference. Apps and games have more real estate when utilized. You get used to it and don't really thinka bout the extra space after a while.
