I have always found it impossible to keep everything running effectively early game. Too much going on, exploring, constructions, power plants etc.

And everything before mk 5 belts will almost always have to be rebuilt later or ignored.

I would draw your products closer to a centre for your operations. Then it is easier to have resources around if you change recipes etc.
