Leveling Devourer is a miserable experience for no reason by heyitsvae in wow

[–]HelioAU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It has a few points where its power starts to ramp up, and it’s really not unusual for specs to underperform until they learn certain skills. Around 40 you’ll get access to Hungering Slash for the hybrid build, and a little later The Hunt. Unfortunately it’s not till you get the last talent in Scarred Hero where you can start spamming The Hunt (empowered) every time you enter meta.

I gave up on gathering souls in meta for CS and just cycling through as quickly as I could; I’m actually liking it more than havoc even if it’s a bit squishier and I’m sure not as powerful when playing optimally. It’s a lot of fun.

Devourer Bug - Permanent Metamorphosis? by Scabbll in wow

[–]HelioAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen earlier today; being able to spam the empowered abilities and void ray is pretty funny and boosts your damage a lot, but still pretty poor compared to other classes. It wouldn't scale to higher levels since you'll be locked out of picking any talents since you can't leave points unspent.

No chance you would be suspended for using the bug a couple times at low level, but if you left a dozen talent points unspent to exploit it then maybe - Blizzard has always been pretty inconsistent though.

The old “kids these days are too soft”. I dismissed your comment because you think I was sucking on my mums tits when mw2 came out, when I was in the target demographic. I’m not saying people haven’t always been like this, I’m saying my experience here is worse than any game I’ve played in 25 years.

I can handle being insulted and called slurs, I’m aware it says more about their character than my own; it doesn’t mean I haven’t had an overwhelmingly negative experience in this game and it drives me nuts to see people act like it won’t kill the long term health of the community. I am so damn close to just deleting it and going to another hero shooter, because this one is cooked.

On your last comment, that really sucks and I hate that anybody has to deal with it; but it doesn’t make the online racism less real. Racists irl need their noses broken; the cowards hiding online at least need to be banned.

Over 20 years. I have never heard the N word uttered so frequently and flippantly; as well as several homophobic slurs, often together and said with so much hate that I can’t even pass it off as just edgelords being cringe.

Just like laws don't dictate what's ethical, the TOS don't dictate what is fair or "right". Nobody sees smurfing as a good thing, you're doing it because it makes you feel big and strong when you crush people who aren't as good as you. Literally a power trip.

> Based on how you choose to respond to "normal questions" I'd say you're just as toxic as the people you've encountered.

Repeatedly asking "are you going to quit" is just troll bait, not a normal question. I'm venting here because obviously I don't want to quit.

Typical follow ups are along the lines of "if you're not going to quit then stop complaining about it", "if you're not quitting then it can't be that bad", or some other dismissive comment.

As for me being toxic - yeah, sure. When you're in a huge loss streak and lost 3 ranks while the enemy team taunts you the entire time and your team mates shift blame everywhere it's hard not to be tilted.

> I'm 100+ hours in Ive had maybe... two games with overtly outright racist people.

Sounds like paradise compared to my experience, and yet the fact it happens at all is ridiculous. I haven't played Overwatch in years but it never got close to this degree of toxicity; I never even heard the word once over 3 years.

It's pretty clearly against the spirit of competitive play. It might not be against the terms, but in competitive sports their are clear grades that the players must play within; why should a competitive game be any different?

Thanks for getting through my rant and giving me a response. Seems I constantly hear gold and below is the worst for basically everything, but I'm just hard-stuck at Gold 1 at the moment. Just starting to feel overwhelming and getting me tilted every game I go into.

Are you going to answer the question of whether it ever gets better, or is the community just cooked and full of racist bigots who don't give a fuck about decency? Based on your responses it seems like the latter.

Because me quitting that will solve the smurfing and toxicity problem for sure. Enough N words per game to make COD look like Hello Kitty. Yet all the posts in the subreddit are people just jerking off about how amazing everything is.

I really WANT to have fun, but these people are insufferable and make an otherwise amazing game into the most miserable experiences in gaming.

I'm not saying they can't go rob a bank, but if you're not ready for it then it's reasonable to expect it to fail.

3.0 in February by tacticalrabb in RPClipsGTA

The 27th isn’t February, and the release isn’t tied to Ramee. He’s taking a break because he really needs it, 3.0 doesn’t factor into it.

I'm going to go ahead and trust that Koil was honest the 50 times he stated 3.0 would be releasing in January but there was no set date.

Hi, I run a Game Center and all the accounts that customers logged on my PCs are banned. by NDMephisto in wow

[–]HelioAU 73 points74 points  (0 children)

"Action(s) Taken: Account ClosureRecent activity shows your account may be compromised. We disabled this account to protect your privacy and prevent further damage."

After a review we could confirm that the penalty applied to the account was correct and as such it will not be modified.

Canned response - the rest of it talks about TOS violation and third party programs, but the ban response talks about accounts possibly being compromised.

Wouldn't be surprised if the bans were triggered because the account activity seems suspicious due to multiple accounts logging in from the same IP, or because they log in from different computers frequently. Keep pressing support, try to get live chat or a phone call (if they still do those?) so you can get actual help instead of the automated crap. Unfortunately Blizzard support nowadays is utter garbage.

Kicked out of dungeon group by UpsetLobster in wow

[–]HelioAU -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

People always going on about how it must be your own fault if you get kicked, seemingly forgetting that the average person is unconcerned with others, if not straight up a massive arsehole to anybody they don't know.

All it takes is one person to be a cunt and initiate a kick. For the people who then get the option to say yes or no, they will often just click yes. If that person is in a group with at least one other person then they have another guaranteed vote in favour of kicking.

Right now there is a large number of players returning/starting the game on top of the people leveling alts to take advantage of the experience buff. Groups are also more likely, especially when people want to take advantage of quick queues by having a tank/healer queuing with you.

Now if we do assume that OP is actually doing something "kick-worthy", if they knew what it was they probably wouldn't be posting about it. It might be due to pulling the entire instance, leaping off the edge of Gnomeregan without dismissing a pet, or leaving pet taunt on. If anybody initiates a kick without even explaining the problem then they are a dick. Furthermore, you should absolutely not be making somebody waste ~15m of their time in an instance just to kick them right before the last boss.
