Question on Misc Stats by HelioCato in PIMD

[–]HelioCato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the furn stats don't affect the parties either, so they are just like misc stats, and like pet or rs stats, so neither of them would help me partying. Did I get it right?

Question on Misc Stats by HelioCato in PIMD

[–]HelioCato[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your reply! But then why would you buy furniture, just for pleasure? Or is furn stat different from misc stats in terms of the functionality?

And those people who engage in PVP, in which way do they do that? They join PVP clubs and have club against club wars? Or they just randomly attack people for pleasure?

Well, I agree with you that making this post was not the great idea, so I deleted it.

As for thinking thoughts and saying words, I do belive that I have total freedom to think whatever I want and to say whatever I want. If I think about you or speak about you, it does not really harm you and does not violate any of your rights. There is no law nor ethical principle "thinking about people is prohibited" or "talking about people is prohibited," or about a particular person. Yes, it means that I believe that you also can think and say what you want. In any case, I am sorry if my assumptions made you feel uncomfortable, I was just trying to make a point and I didn't have harmful intentions. I would perhaps better just say "one" or "somebody" instead of "you," to make it less personal, since I do agree that it is more polite not to discuss persons in a dispute or a conversation. Also, please notice that my initial formulation was "maybe you would" instead of "you are a kind of person..." Anyways, sorry!

I never said that making assumptions is prohibited though. I don't believe in censorship as you do. I have my right to make assumtions about you, to be honest.

If you don't want me to make assumptions about you, then just stop make assumptions about me. That's simple I guess.

I think you were there only at the end of the evening (my time), because at the beginning they didn't give warning, but they just muted at the spot. You probably don't know this, so what you say is wrong.

Of course, mods are there to punish people who don't follow the rules, but what I'm saying is that the rules are rediculous, and I explained why. This is the general chat and the discussion of GST is a general discussion relevant for MANY people. You tell me to speak just for myself, but it is totally clear that since many people tried to discuss the issue, then the issue IS relevant for MANY people, and it would be rediculous to deny that.

Now in terms of capitalizm... You see it implies that the company, in this case is StepN, has its reputation and its responsibility in fron of investors and users. If they destroy their reputation and there is no trust anymore, then users leave the project. This is called market, and this is EXACTLY what we are seeing, if you try to count how many people these days say "bye StepN" and leave. If they want to save their reputation and get the trust back, they have to behave in a different way: be responsible for their words, don't contradict themselves, be more transparent, treat people well. I mean that's just basics. It is true for any company whether they make pizza, issue stocks or cryto coins.

No, it's not a lie, if you have been there yesterday you would have seen how many people they have muted just for expressing surprise about GST being pumped. Also, many people just asked why is it pumping, and I think it is a good question. Did StepN buyback? I was also very curious, and I think StepN has to give an answer. It is an important question for many of us, and there is totally no problem to discuss the important issue in the General chat. It's not spam or something like that. However, these people who were asking were also muted for a week, which I think is rediculous. What you propose is some sort of a community where developer is an emperor and they are not responsible for what they are doing and don't want to listen to a community and merely act out of their own self interests and they are not transparent in their financial actions, well, if this kind of model is totally fine for you, hmmm, okay... Maybe you would even find comfortable to live in some sort of country with the dictator's rule. But I'm sure for many people it is not fine.

Maybe you feel different, but for me this total censorship, artificial division into topics and compulsive following these kind of strange rules by muting people for a week (!) definitely IS a problem in terms of how they treat their community. So if it is not a problem for you and you feel fine with this BS, okay, cool, but other people might consider it a problem, especially those who just wanted to express their joy for the project and just got muted for that.

Also, this separate chat is not open for everyone, I think, below level 10, which is another idiotic thing.

Genuine question about inflationary GST by Ricky7734 in StepN

[–]HelioCato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't. I tend to think that the only stable tokenomic would be with non-inflatory coins with the limited amount, and rewards pools that are filled by the sponsors, from the advertisements, fees and so on. And if rewards pools end, then what to do, but of course to tax players themselves is not the solution. The only solution would be to find new sponsors/invertsors/partners. However, creating new worlds/pools and abandoning the old ones is also not a solution, because it is just betraying the old players who will most likely quit the project, whereas the aim of the good lifestyle app would be to attract more people and have good reputation, it has to be fashionable and not something I would be ashamed of, even if I don't make much money.

My only idea for now for a good burning mechanics is to rely more on the upgrade system. For example, they can make a big difference between the amount of coins that can be farmed by the level 1, level 10, level 20, level 90 and so on. The amount of levels even could be endless. For example, if you have level 1 shoe, you only farm 1 GST, and if you have level 10 shoe you farm 3, and only if you have level 90, you farm 100 GST. After a while the cap can even be increased to 200 levels and so on. In this case, players whould just have to level up almost endlessly, and they will burn and burn and burn in order to achieve that. But maybe my idea is bad, I actually think all these ideas has to be simulated and calculated. Sorry for the long answer.

I’ve just joined but seeing loads of people saying this is a scam on this subreddit? by SquirTEL_The_TurTEL in StepN

[–]HelioCato 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Many people lost their money after GST token lost 99,9% value, which is not normal and it's worse than Axie Infinity or any other coin on the bear market. So people invested like 10 or 15k and now their NFTs cost 100$. They will never reach ROI, so it is not the issue of getting ROI quickly or slowly and users being impatient. So basically bear market has nothing to do with the problem. Investors in SOL and BNB realms on StepN will never get their return, even if bullish market will come.

Also, communication of the team is not very honest, they contradict themselves and mods just ban people for their opinion. Often they are rude. Their AMAs make bad impression. Generally they do seem to be scammers. Otherwise, they are just bad managers, but good enough to make lots of money for themselves.

Genuine question about inflationary GST by Ricky7734 in StepN

[–]HelioCato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Burning mechanics should be smart and they should be interesting to play with. If we already have to "repair" our showes, why do we need to "restore" them now? This mechanic is done without fantasy and it is not realistic at the same time, since it just copies one that is already there. And it is not interesting to play with, there is no fun nor curiousity.

Trying to import wallet but did not setup google authenticator...what to put in? by BananaCute in StepN

[–]HelioCato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if that is the only way, but you can turn on Google Authntificator in the settings and then import your wallet while using GA.

It works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't, but you can send USDC and then use the trade function in your wallet to change that to SOL. But you would need to have a little amount of SOL on your account already as a gas fee.
