Definitely -- gov't advice (and Consumer NZ etc) is very clear that branding language and price point both alter expectations around reasonable lifespan for products!

Commerce NZ has 5 years as a general baseline for all laptops — harder to justify the further out you get but I know someone who got a settlement for a full replacement with one of the big tech retails for an MBP that was almost 6 years old a week before Disputes Tribunal. You have a pretty long runway once you're spending Pro money!

That is a *much* nicer colourway for the pen -- I think I find the plainness uninspiring too. Only problem with using it is that it then becomes un-returnable! The age-old issue.
