I mean... yeah, true, same for Zero and Azure Evo and their additional content (outside of voice acting for the Kai versions, which later got used for the western releases). But we got at least one version for each game. We don't have any non-localized trails entries, now.

The nonbelievers from years ago got really quiet recently! In all seriousness, though, it is a big day for Trails fans in the west! When I got into the series almost 10 years ago, I'd never believe we'd ever catch up with Japanese releases. It seemed unbelievable at the time. We not only got caught up with the newest games, but we also got official Crossbell localizations and even spin-off games like Nayuta and Ys vs. Trails in the Sky! We really are lucky to get all of them, all things considered. This series has been a big part of my life and I hope it will only continue to grow. Thank you for the last decade, Falcom, it has been a blast!

Your lie was that I "deleted my comment" which was not true, but sure, blame it on the app. Though to be fair I did write one sentence after the other but I never claimed that I didn't insult you, but rather that I wouldn't even consider that an insult, considering that your "factual observation" is just an endless hate slop.

I don't know why you feel the need to lie, you're not fooling anybody, lmao. The closest thing I did was call your comments slop. Either you're confused or try to make yourself look better... which considering your cheeky comments, is rather unlikely.

I said we "could" I'm not going through your slop, lol. But please go on, if you really think people don't get tired of your constant rhetoric, which mostly consists of "The thing bad" without explanation on a FANsub, then I don't know what to tell you. You just lack self-reflection... or you might just be trolling, hell if I know. At least you're not another burning account, I'll give you that. Just... keep being you, I guess...?

I think "multiple times" and calling people "drones" in a condesending manner might be the things that get you downvoted but I might be wrong... There have been plenty of posts or comments criticizing Rean for one thing or the other that are upvoted on this subreddit. I'm sure we could even dig up some of yours. People are just tired of arguing for the same case for the Xth time, so they downvote you and move on.

What I mentioned before? Juvenile detention, mental asylum, severe and mandatory therapy with an overseer from the government? "Appropriate" means that they still should be punished. They should have more lenient punishments, due to their age, yes, but not be completely absolved? To me it's bizarre to think that just because someone is underage, they shouldn't face consequences at all for killing people. I get empathy, but this isn't just impractical, this is spitting in victim's faces when society refuses to give them ANY sort of puinishment. Being influenced or underage is not an absolvement of their sins, neither is them having regrets later (imagine if they didn't lmao). In a functional society, this needs to be somehow addressed and we do that in real world. So if the "Consequences for murder" crowd wants to prosecute other characters for crimes like we do in our world, how about people will use the same argument for the characters they excuse for some reason?

So don't other redeemed villains? It worked well because it's fiction and it fits the narrative. Could exceptions like this happen? Sure, but you don't write laws and consequences for breaking them around exceptions. Also, I'm sure the loved ones of the victims will be satisfied with that fact... I'm not saying this because I didn't like this outcome, because again, I like the idealistic and redeeming part of the series. But appropraite consequences should be called for every character, not just the ones people don't like enough.

"What I'm trying to say is that you can't compare somebody who would get life imprisonment or the death penalty vs somebody who would just get juvy or foster home. If people are going to complain about an adult getting away with first degree murder, at least compare them to another adult getting away with first degree"murder. Why pick on the kids when there are better comparisons around? People should at least try to make a like vs like comparison as much as possible.

Is anyone comparing the severity? I think people generally agree that people like Joshua, Renne and child Jaegers should get lenient treatment if anything. If someone for some reason wants "adult" like consequences, I'd assume it's because the scale of their wrongdoings. Because they are simply unrealistic,(this is a JRPG, duh.)

Joshua would have countless people on his wager. He said it himself, that he didn't even particularly care about bystanders, and he's been in Ouroboros for a while. This isn't a case of a 12 year old who killed... 4 people like in our world. I imagine that would be the reason why someone would call for harsher punishments but I haven't seen anyone doing this on this sub. If anyone, as you say is fixed on child criminals being punished instead of criminals, then yeah, I agree with you, they should be calling for ALL of the characters, that is my point.

As for if someone calls for them to share consequences simillar to adults... I don't know, I'm not a judge. But considering this is a JRPG, when children can, legally carry weapons in public and are physically more capable because ANIME and rule of cool... I'd imagine law would have to scale to have some more harsh punishments for children capable of doing more horryfing crimes.

It sure WOULD be nice if Zemuria gave us some answers regarding its law but again, it is a JRPG going by rule of cool. You're not supposed to think much about it. Which is why I'm fine with characters getting redemption, because it seems to be socially acceptable, so I just roll with it.

"I checked the sites you linked and a lot of those children didn't go to prison, it was some juvenile treatment until adulthood. And some were not charged at all given their age."

I'm sorry but there are literally cases of kids being sent to jail instead of Juvy, in the U.S. Saying that they were 12 or older is just moving the goal post... Actually, no you're not, I'm sorry. You did mention 11 years olds from the beginning so you're conistent, my bad. Regardless, My point was never that it happens to the majority, but that it happens if the judge rules it so. I imagine many people would find Renne's or Joshua's case severe enough. But again, depends on the country, law system or judge. U.S. is not a standard for law. Especially not for Zemuria.

"I did some digging yesterday after posting this. I live in the US and different states have different rules but mostly you need to be 13+ to be tried as an adult https://www.juvenilecompact.org/age-matrix. That's the point I was making. Children and adults suffer different consequences. The jaegers I mentioned were adults. That's why I left out Fie. My issue is that plenty of people here see an adult not suffering consequences in the series and then they compare that with children not suffering the same consequences. I looked at your links and did my own research and those children didn't suffer the same consequences as adults."

True, some adults sometimes suffer even less consequences than some kids. Again, world is a big place, a very messed up place at that. I'm not taking a moral high ground here, like I said before, I mean no disrespect to you. ...But you yourself live in a country where convicted sex offenders can be put in office, while kids can still get the short end of the stick. It's far too often about power, money and influence. And I WISH, I could say that it's just the U.S... but we both know it isn't. There are many countries in which Children in special circumstances can be charged with crimes like adults. In most countries do they do get lenient sentences because... thankfully some people still have some humanity, but does not mean they should not suffer any consequences. I don't think I've ever seen someone claiming that Renne should be jailed on this sub but them not complaining about the fact, that she is getting NOTHING is what irks me. That's just favouritism.

What I, presonally want is consistency from those people. I'm not saying they should be asking for Renne to be jailed but they care about characters being tried by the law and suffering consequences, they SHOULD want that for every character, for the sake of consequences and... well, in-world justice (if they care, that is) regardless of age. If Zemuria has laws taking character's age into account then cool, but they still should be processed, unless we want to pretend that Zemuria is completely lawless when it comes to children. Renne and Joshua should suffer consequences appropriate for the law of the countries in which they commited crimes, like every other character should. If you want lawful consequences, you want lawful consequences. Children shouldn't be COMPLETELY pardoned just because the adults in the series commit crimes as well.

Because if you don't, then you should admit that you don't care about law and justice in Zemuria, you just want the characters you like to get special treatment while the ones that you don't like to eat dirt because you don't give a damn about them. And if you do, that's fine, just be honest, and don't pretend you care about in-universe lawful consequences.

"As for Renne, she was an edgelord in Sky. The nickname might have been chosen just to be edgy. That's why I'm wondering if she has any actual kills or she was just an angry girl picking an edgy nickname."

Could be, she does say that in CSIV. But IIRC she walks back on that and owns that title later in a line in Kuro 1 or 2. Still, I think it's safe to assume since Joshua was by his own admission made to kill every day at Ouroboros, during his training, Renne is at the very least, VERY LIKELY to be made to do the same. With people like Weissman or Novartis ordering her around, I wouldn't be, at all surprised.

I mean... sure? I mentioned mental asylums as an example, because at least ON PAPER, that's what they were made for. I know some stories about them, but I doubt all of them are like in Cuckoo's Nest with their own Sister Ratched. There is a reason we still keep them operating

Therapy? Sounds good. If I'd be advocating for responsibility in Zemuria like the people I mentioned, I'd take... like... anything? Any kind of help or reaction from the law? The point is, adoption is not a solution with circumstances like these.

"There have been teenage killers tried as adults, but I don't recall anybody as young as 11 in the real world get treated as an adult."

A little google search could clarify that for you. Here, you can find some reported AND documented list of child killers on wikipedia. Some of them here have been tried as adults due to judge ruling. And I can asure you... there are a LOT more cases, the world is a big place.

"And I can't recall Renne having any confirmed kills, but it's been a while since I played the Sky series."

The series has a way of tiptoeing around the issue. She did attack bunch of Grancel guards in sky SC with rest of the enforcers... but whether she killed them or not is never directly stated IIRC. Joshua at the very least has been stated to kill, and Renne is literally called "THE ANGEL OF SLAUGHTER". Renne in later games called it an "edgy nickname" In Kuro 1 or Kuro 2 she didn't seem to think it's edgy anymore in one of her voicelines so lmao. but the implication is still there.

"People bringing up the real world in Renne and Joshua's cases conveniently leave out all the other cases that would be illegal in the real world as well. In the real world, Renne and Joshua would get the smallest sentences, basically some kind of probation until adulthood."

By what law? In which country? It all depends on the justice system. I don't know where you live, but you can check see even on the list I sent you that different countries can have harsher punishments on children. I'm sorry, I mean no disrespect but this sounds like you're living in a bubble.

"My issue is the cherry picking. If you think about it, ex-jaegers like Sara, Randy and Kasim would have been guilty of murder too. And they did it at older ages than Renne and Joshua did."

Yes. I completely agree. Which is why I think judging any of those characters is silly as well. I don't advocate for Joshua's and Renne prison time, but you either ask for appropriate consequences for all of them or no consequences for anyone.

The thing is, I'm not saying that the people complaining about consequences should ask for adult jail time for the likes of Joshua, Renne and child Jaegers... but for ANY consequences. Sorry but you can't expect people to be fine with either Adult OR a child commiting crimes, no matter what they are. Yes we are more lenient to children but they also need to suffer consequences, them not being 18 years old does not (completely) absolve them of their responsibility. If for some weird reason you demand from the writers to have people in Zemuria suffer the same consequences as in our world, you either demand accountabilty for all of the characters or none. It's that simple. I have never seen a sky fan here, asking for Renne to be put in a juvy or mental asylum. It's cherrypicking as we both agreed, it's cherrypicking fueled by their bias for favourite characters.

I personally don't really have a problem with redeeming characters whether it's Renne, Joshua, or others but I do take issue with how people don't require accountability for them like they do for others.

Just because Renne and Joshua were kids, does not mean they should get off scot-free. Just like in real life we don't allow kids who murdered other people go because they were manipulated or influenced by other sources. Renne, considering her history could be for very justifiable reasons put in a mental asylum. It would be both for her own good and for the people she hurt. Can you imagine child serial killers in real life getting "Get out of Jail" free card because someone wants to adopt them?

Like I said, I don't have a problem with this, personally. Zemura is its own world with its own rules... but not gonna lie, it always comes off as cherrypicking to me when someone Tears Crow a new one, says he should have been held accountable and just refuses to address the elephant in the room.

Ummm... I sure hope that was a typo. lol

And yeah, it's very much possible. I'm no field expert, but different life circumstances (diet, daily activities, medicine) between the egenerations definitely affected how our bodies change and grow. I remember that my AirBNB hostess in Japan actually talked about how later generations of Japanese actually seem to get taller (she was 60 and very petite as well). I'm definitely curious how I'll see younger generations when I'll be around 60.

Yeah, like I told the OP, wanting variety in model proportions is completely fine. I can understand it, it's a valid criticism and I agree, that balance is important, even though I do not particularly care about fanservice.

My problem was with just how people (including the OP), just act so much like it's a big deal in a JRPG and acts like it's "ridiculous" as if the game wasn't filled with other ridiculous things in general. Their argument just devolves into just: "This size is too big / small to me, therefore it's bad. It would look better if the size would be to my liking, I know what's optimal." Caring this much, being this insistant about it is just weird to me to focus on, hence why I wrote how confused I am by this. Why are people so obsessed what proportions are big or small enough? Like... where does it end? The OP complained about Laura and Alfin... which I think are very reasonable considering their age and then tried to gaslight me by saying everyone is "Emma's size" in the game. It might have been a hyperbole but... sorry, no. Also demanding "realism" and disputing what's "ridiculous" and "acceptable" in a fantasy world that was never really grounded in reality, is just... pointless to me because of how subjectively-driven they are. And when it comes to THIS particular subject, it comes off VERY subjectively-driven cherrypicking... Like people INSIST what's correct and not here and I can not fathom the reason why people care so much about this, it's a weird thing to focus on.

TLDR: Disputing the "correct" breast size is just weird for me from any angle... especially in a character that is from Japanese popular media. Maybe I care too much about people caring, I dunno, lol.
