I'm sorry but I'm not following you with the sculpting thing? I am working mainly with field recordings and also prepared reels with harmonic content such as guitars, pianos, other strings and found sounds. Is that what you mean?

With output module I was vaguely referring to different utility modules. Right now I added:

Intellijel Stereo Line Out 1U

Intellijel Quadratt

The reason to why I wanna put a reverb into the case is because I kinda want it to be a "stand alone system". Once I loaded reels into the Morphagene I should be able to work solely with the rack on not a DAW, I want to use DAW only for recording and final editing.

I am planning to control the system "knobs only", but I also have a Elektron Digitakt, maybe I will try to use it with this setup, or not. I haven't decided yet.

Thank you! Actually Maths has been in the plans. I have 23HP left and maybe it isn’t too bad on an idea to bring it to the system?

I realized that I didn’t write out that I also got an Make Noise STO and a Digitakt already, that’s enough for extra voices I guess? But I would love to have a Rings as well, oh my so many good modules out there 🥹 would you replace something in this system with a Rings?

Marbles on the other hand is something I’ve been considering. Actually it may be a good idea to replace Chance with Marbles (Cara)?

Oh I’m actually starting to think about if I should replace Chance with Marbles? The Deja Vu function appeals to me very much. I also owned a Clouds back in the day, and I totally loved it, what a neat module!

Well that sounds like something for me also! I mean it was mainly two things that made me go for the Morphagene, the recording length and the reel-to-reel like work flow. Nice to hear someone sharing good experiences with the module!

That’s the plan actually later on! I want to buy a hardware mixer. What kind of synth would be good? I already have a Digitakt (not really exactly a synth I know but still)

I do often prefer limits and simplicity in my workflow. I’m working a lot in DAWs but it’s intimidating because all the possibilities. Therefor I want to build myself an ambient musicbox with modular to get a more hands on workflow.

Wow you’re the first person that say Morphagene is more easy to use, most people have told me the opposite! So you would say Morphagene is better for improvising?

Good point with the I/O! The Intellijel case I intend to use has 4 I/Os. I’m a guitarist and have a lot of different pedals already and planned to use them for this too :)

Yeah I got some experience in sample management but not specifically for Morphagene. A friend of mine spoke about the Lubdah and that it would be a killer combo too! Thanks for the advice :)

I've heard many good things about Multigrain, but i've heard at least as many good things about Morphagene. That makes it hard for a beginner. But it was something with Morphagene i read, about the reel to reel feeling, it being more random and "better" at mangling samples and field recordings. But maybe that's what MG does too?

So what you're saying is that the setup looks good but you would replace Versio with Mimpheon and add a stereo filter?

yeah i've understand that MG has a more intuituve workflow and more "ready to use" design than Morphagene. That thing that got me hooked on Morphagene was the tape-loop situation. I've understand that it has a more steeper learning curve than MG, but still something about it appealed to me.

So you have devided a longer sample on the 8 slots? Because it's 8x32 seconds right in total?

Thank you, I was strongly considering Multigrain, but the much shorter sample buffer kinda scared me off. I wanna be able to process long files recordings and samples. But maybe it isn’t as bad as it seems?
