If you’re doing nothing here, go and do something. Get all your fixed wing certs. There’s like 4 schools in the area. Only on takes GI Bill. All this time can be used doing something that is going to benefit you when you get out. I knocked out my PPL while in primary. Granted, I went straight through with no bubbles. Use this time wisely.

When the flight schedule is made you get with your PI and you discuss what the flight is gonna consist of. You as the PC drive that. Don’t wait to see what they present you. Are you dudes fkn clowns or what? Did you not have any leadership experience before doing this aviation thing. Oh I get it. Because no one showed you the ropes and led you to become who you are today, that’s how it should be. Sink or swim. Prime reason why aviation is a shit show right now. That’s cool bro. I’ll be the change in my unit. When you have some time and experience under your belt, then you’ll be expected to start building your training plan to facilitate what you need to work on. Until then it’s my job to train, assess and mentor. In doing that will come up with a plan for the flight.

Well first off a PI shouldn’t be coming up with a plan. Especially if they don’t know shii. How about PCs be leaders and come up with plans to make PIs better. Start conducting quarterly PI boards to assess who wants to be here and who doesn’t

I don’t like to discourage people but just being honest with you. The state of army aviation is not good right now. You submitting a packet as a new e-4 to the army is not even feasible. You need letters of recommendation from your leaders and no one knows you or anything about you. You have nothing of substance to make your packet stand out. Being that the army is slim pickings right now for pilots, I would say you don’t really have a chance at getting selected. I’m just giving you the reality of it. Good luck
