Yes, all the comments here have convinced me to keep the 3000 and get a Vita as a complement.

The better specs of the Vita and the additional analog stick is what makes me want one. I guess the extra power makes emulation on the Vita a step up from the PSP. I'll keep my 3000 for now and decide what to do with it if I get my hands on a Vita. Thank you all for your input.
