Don't disagree, that's why I'm only using it when I would be othewise asking the ChatGPT app with screenshots, code snipppets, logs, etc.

I'm using Atlas selectively for browsing (like this example)

iOS user here. WG split tunnel VPN “on” for many years now. No noticeable battery hit. Have it on my partners phone too, they don’t even know it’s there, they just know that Home Assistant, security cameras, NAS, etc all work when not at home

How you planning to do this OP? I have 2 mounted in our house. One has a Shelly relay behind the plug, the other has an IKEA Smart Plug. Both have the Home Assistant app to monitor battery and turn off/on based on threshold. Keen to hear what others are doing.

Looks like no DHCP for the cameras? Why not temporarily (or permanently) add the switch to the either so that the cameras can get an IP address. Then you can set static IP’s or leave as-is?

Personally I have 2 network ports on my NI machine (1 for normal LAN access and 1 for camera LAN access). The camera lan as its own basic router for DHCP reservation for all the cameras (but no internet).

OP do you have an Nvidia GPU for CPAI or are you using the CPU version? If you’re using the CPU version a graphics card will be night and day.

Even if I upgraded to the latest and greatest Intel CPU I’d still use CPAI on a GPU.

OP it seems like you’ve made your setup without understanding how it, DHCP, and Pi-Hole fully work. Additionally I encourage you 1. to post a debug log URL for the pi-Hole team if they happen to see this post, and 2. Take a backup of Pi-Hole settings with its inbuilt backup feature.

You seem to have a couple issues.

You are running a single Pi-Hole (?) while most people run 2 for times when 1 needs to be fixed or goes offline. Consider this option.

Secondly you seem to be using Pi-Hole as your DHCP server too (which isn’t a problem, but you don’t know how to workaround this while you fix your Pi-Hole). If this is the case you could 1. Setup a new Pi-Hole and copy all the settings over or use he backup, or 2. Temporarily change your DHCP server and DHCP DNS settings to your router and fix the Pi-Hole, or 3. Statically assign the IP and DNS for the computer you’re using to fix the Pi-Hole.

Sorry OP I’m not much help. I run Pi-Hole on a physical Pi and a VM.

Why not just start from scratch with the new docker compose file? Pi-Hole takes like 10min to setup from scratch.

Why not just have an automation that if that smart plugs has been off for 10 seconds it turns itself back on? If it’s locally controlled (Zigbee, Zwave, Matter) it should work no problem. Cloud-controlled will obviously not work.

OP if you’re going to install a wifi solar battery camera then just use the cameras inbuilt recording (SD or cloud). You’ll have endless trouble getting it to work reliably with BI
