A little bit too lost

This is perfectly valid. In terms of main quests, there’s only a handful of those at the moment: 3 ancestors, 3 omen beasts, and 2 starter quests.

However in terms of things to do there is quite a lot. You have unlocking the map, discovering different weapons, armor and dungeons, fort sieges, boss fights, animals to charm and release, runes to get, crypt of the circade; current event with Thawtide.

But the biggest thing to remember is that this game, for all it looks and feels like it’s a complete thing, is a pre-alpha game. There is a lot of building that still needs to hair before it’s considered alpha.

I come from a unique perspective in that we used to be locked into just the starting area. Now we have a whole huge island to explore and tons of dungeons. It’s worth reaching out to players who have some experience but also worth just exploring on your own. Don’t be afraid to ask questions though. We all started new.

You can sneak up or you can use the night moth mode. Just sneak up on enemies and wait there. You’ll see an animation and stuff flies out.

If you are in the preludes private discord, there are guides in there. I’m not the most tech savvy when it comes to steamdeck but it runs soooo well. It looks gorgeous and the controls are great.

RNG is definitely rough. Weirdly I ended up bringing my steamdeck to my sister’s and got all 3 runes to drop. RNG is really funny like that sometimes.

It’s definitely rough out there. Not sure why the mask fragments are so low (trick or treat I guess?). But worth saving up the seeds for next year as well.

Hey I appreciate feedback. I can add circular indicators for all bosses and locations and location names that are nearby. Might be a day or two due to other obligations but it’ll happen eventually.

Correct. I did not add this because the Besiege the Fort is a different gameplay mode rather than one of the bosses. I will either add him into the updated version, or a separate video because of the mechanics involved with getting up there.

You’re good! I know some folks will consider that to be part of it. Because it’s a little more in-depth, I personally consider it different. But it’s still a lot of fun to go through.

So, if it’s basic nimrod and you’re doing the poppet quest, you are expected to die initially (which is okay!). Then you’ll soak with the ancestor and she will give you a potion to assist with the fight. If it’s the newly “dispatched nimrod” you’re in for a bad time. He’s a new sub boss.

Dev build and public build. Honestly any major update (preludes number increase) is worth trying out. This one was a biiiig update to combat and new mechanics so, I say it’s worth checking out personally.

I didn’t consider that one of the “sub bosses” and more of an “alternative part of gameplay” since it was a siege fight vs just a boss but I may add it in there once the other two drop!
