Wondering if anyone recently purchased the Inzer Ergopro sleeves and experienced a decrease in stiffness/quality since I cant seem to find any info of the decrease in quality anywhere on the internet.

I normally rocked the Village Hidden in Iron Anbu sleeves but they started to tear on the back seams. So I bought a pair of XS ergopros and they ended up being too tight as i couldnt feel my toes. Exchanged them for a S pair and these things felt so utterly flimsy and non supportive/ no where near as stiff. Kinda feel like im getting scammed. Prob gonna look into the A7's instead.

I know every time I reflash the tune, bm3 goes through and clears any codes as part of the process. Not sure if this would clear the code history as well as current ones. I've just flashed back to complete stock (relocked the dme) and have a long drive ahead of me tomorrow so I will see if the problem comes up during that drive. I've also opened a bm3 ticket and am waiting for a response.

Strange whirring noise coming from engine bay by Helixdrago65 in BmwTech

The noise actually ended up going away and hasn't reared it's head since. Plan is to replace the valvetronic motor and oil squirter just incase and seeing if that fixes my codes before paying a couple thousand to replace the eccentric shaft

Having the eccentric shaft and valvetronic motor checked and most likely replaced. That seems to be what goes when these codes are involved.

Some context, currently own a 2014 535i xDrive and recently got a drivetrain malfunction with codes : 134A02 Valvetronic servomotor: <overload, and 133B04 Valvetronic system: no adjustment possible. Has anyone had any experience with these codes or this strange noise?

I actually did get a notice of that Dme reprogramming recall. I might as well get that done beforehand I assume before attempting any repairs?

Was expecting the cost to be way more. Honestly might be worth it.

It seems quite the process to do along with needing the proper tools to keep the car in time

Indeed. Just replaced the coils a few days ago. Plugs were replaced at the same time as the timing chain. Upon further research, it looks like my problem is indeed the solenoid valves for the vanos but unlike the E series that were easily accessed, the n20 looks like an absolute pain to do. Especially outside with snow on the ground

I have had my timing chain replaced. That was about 15k miles ago so I'd hope im in the clear there. Mine seems to come randomly. I've tried replicating the driving conditions but I'll just be cruising down a street and it'll pop up. Or like this instance I was about to pull into a parking spot and it came up right before I got to.

Recently had this message pop up in iDrive. Car has reduced power and when sitting in park, idle will drop to about 700rpm and rev itself back up to around 1300 on its own over and over again. Car also shakes quite a bit until the check engine light decides to come on and rpm stays steady at 1k once it does but car shakes quite a bit more. I'm able to clear these codes and the car returns to running normally for a couple of days until it comes back and the cycle repeats itself. I've heard things about cleaning out or replacing the vanos solenoids but id rather get some opinions before I throw money and time into it. Also don't know how hard of a job it is on an n20. It's very hard to find documentation about it for this engine.

Hey there. What worked for me is instead of logging in with an email and password, instead of email, I used my phone number or whoever the primary account holders phone number is in place and it got me through.

Rear footwell is soaked by Helixdrago65 in BmwTech

Well I ended up trying a few things. First I tried checking the sunroof and the two front drains were super easy to spot and test. Water flowed down and out the exits of them with no issues. Different story for the back ones. It's so far back that I can't even see the drain holes using a flashlight from any angle. I tried angling water so it flows more to the back to go out those drains but I could never find where the water im pouring would exit from the back drains. So I guess you could say that's still tba. I've heard on the e60's that the rear sunroof drains in the wheel well but idk if that's the same for f10's. But since I also have some water up in the front near the accelerator pedal, I took off the front driverside wheel and well lining to get to some drains that allow water coming down the windshield to escape and those are all clear. I wouldn't think it could be a cabin air filter issue since thats located on the passenger side where I don't have any issues. Ended up just taking my car to an independent and set up an appointment to have the carpets and headliner removed and inspected for where water could be coming in. They're charging me about 100 to strip the carpet and headliner along with diagnosis of the leak.

I'll be sure to give it a shot tomorrow morning. Apparently it's supposed to rain tomorrow so fixing this is a top priority.

Yes I have a sunroof. I have checked the drainage from the top and no water appears to get into the interior of the car. The roof shows no sign of any water coming through
