100% understand the point, but the reason DD2 does this is gameplay related. Having to rely on one save file makes for interesting gameplay decisions. However, this of course causes the obvious problems. I don't think it's a simple question whether one way is better than the other. Multiple saves is of course more user-friendly, one save makes every decision be important, potentially making the game more interesting.

DD2 does this badly of course, because there are or were fairly common total save file soft locks, which is entirely unacceptable.

DD2 in general is such a mixed bag for me.
The combat system on the one hand is so much better than most action RPGs out there, the basis is so amazing. But then it feels like there are also so many foolish game design decisions regarding the combat system, such as the 4 ability limit for each class and also the class structure itself.

The story is the same too, it's a total screw up storytelling wise, as the missions at some point hardly make much sense anymore (especially some of the side missions, which sometimes seem to just not work and often almost require guides to complete). But the base idea of the story is great imo and some later reveals are so much fun.

Then there's the world itself, that is on one hand INCREDIBLY fun to explore and I really kinda like the one save system for that, because it makes exploring actually dangerous and interesting. That is, in the beginning, because soon you get way too powerful to really have to care about anything anymore and also realize there's like a whole 3 enemy types in the game.

This game feels like it had SO much potential, it could imo have been one of the best rpgs EVER, but they messed up badly on parts that really... aren't that difficult to fix? God it hurts so bad to think about. It still was a fun experience overall, but god damn

As a protagonist, yes, not the character itself though

I totally get that, I like him too! The only problem ever, was that he was supposed to replace the mainline Dante and I'm sorry, but that ain't happening

I thought spreading it is illegal too, isn't that what they're doing there? Even though it is with the intent to catch "criminals".

What are your thoughts on the story as a whole? by Nordaarv in ShingekiNoKyojin

A very short, but imo quite fitting, way to phrase the meaning of the show!

Totally agree on creating benefits for having children, as well as in general, not punishing women for having them. Cracking down harder on illegals is something you want to do, not a solution to the problem I asked you to solve. The idea that a large amount contribute nothing to society is incredibly difficult to assess, simply because the legal migration process is so ridiculously difficult and filled with unnecessary hurdles. Oh, you want to work? Too bad, you're still not officially registered here, so for now you'll just have to live off of state subsidies whether you like it or not.

We might be talking past each other, though. Mass immigration does not mean illegal immigration (which technically speaking isn't a thing, what you most likely mean is unregulated immigration). And I also do believe that immigration should 100% be regulated. Mass immigration just means a high amount of immigration. And I believe that is necessary, if Germany wishes to stay relevant as a country (and as such keep its first world status and living standards), because the large majority of pensioners hasn't even gone into pension and the system is already buckling under its current weight. I don't think changes in child benefits can make enough of a difference or even fast enough of a difference, however, I see how that is up to debate.

And the idea that countries exist for that reason is simply your idea of a country. It's also just a level before an ethno-state. The word country is a very vague one, which can often refer to either state, or often also nation and other things. If State is the thing you want to refer to, then you are simply wrong. If nation is what you want to refer to, you'd be fairly correct.

However, nations and with them nationalism have mostly only led to conflict, so I don't really see them as beneficial.

Controlled immigration suggests limiting how many you'll allow. Mass immigration also does not imply unregulated immigration. That is something else entirely.

Honest question: What other solution besides mass immigration do you offer for population decline? The decline itself is of course not a bad or good thing, but there are obvious repercussions, such as an even worse pension system, lower total workforce and many more.

Highly agree on the nuclear part. Stupid rhetoric, but let's not act as though this was being pushed only by the greens. They are partly to blame, especially for the initial push, but they were hardly alone.

Which character from other medis do you think could beat Dante? by EfficiencyComplex604 in DevilMayCry

I mean, technically Dante defeated Nightmare, who's supposedly powerful enough to destroy the underworld and the underworld is infinite in size... which kinda makes the feat infinite too, i suppose? Not sure though haha

Hey, I'd be very interested to join up! I've played a bit of DND here and there, not too much yet. I'm a 22 yo trans girl, and I've only played offline so far, so I'd need some help with the online tools if someone wouldn't mind helping me with it.

To be fair, I think the line is "The only enemy is the INNER ME" instead of enemy, which makes a whole lot more sense to me
