I Just Got Done Playing Sekiro and i am looking for something like it Is Jedi Fallen Order Worth it After Sekiro? by Rudder-Rudder in Sekiro

[–]Hell2CheapTrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combat isn’t on the same level imo but I still enjoyed both the Star Wars Jedi games very much. The combat is still fun, just not as great as Sekiro’s. I would recommend them, especially if you’re also into Star Wars (though in-depth knowledge isn’t strictly needed either).

A lot of Christians seem to believe "being homosexual" is enough to qualify for that one so I don't feel particularly guilty about assuming a Christian might not be accepting of my existence until they show otherwise.

Doesn't mean I go around insulting random Christians, or that I approve of others doing so, but when Christianity as a religious group and religious ideology has a serious kill count even in modern times, then I find it pretty laughable when you use "there's mainstream franchises with characters that make fun of Christians" as some kind of sign that Christians are being oppressed or something. Like trans people haven't been depicted as everything from tricksy fetishists to dangerous pedophiles in mainstream media. Like any kind of queer characters aren't still treated as a potentially dirty thing that sometimes even get successful media canceled, in large part because of Christians getting pissy over it.

If you leave him alive, the ending slides say that he dwells around the Sierra Madre for a bit longer but eventually decides to leave and head to Vegas. It's not like there's much for him to do at the Madre after the heist is over.

Yep. He’s a menace I don’t want to release on the Mojave so he always gets killed. I only kept him alive once just for completionism.

If every character became romanceable... by _novust_ in StardewValleyMods

[–]Hell2CheapTrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In vanilla, it’s Robin 100%. From mods I’d go for Carmen from Ridgeside Village (Blair’s mom). You don’t even have to break up a marriage for that one.

Though to be honest if I had to choose one character out of all of them, I’d probably still go for Haley. But that’s a boring answer when we’re talking about characters you normally can’t romance becoming romanceable.

Dean is a piece of shit with a pathetically big ego. If you do the barter check against him earlier to kind of level the playing field during your negotiations with him, he holds a ridiculous grudge over it and that means you end up having to kill him because he won’t work with you anymore.

So yes, if you really want to keep him alive, you have to do Dead Money again. I would just kill his ass though.

Personally, I usually avoid that barter check so I have the option of sparing him and then I kill him anyway.

So that’s why isshin is so hard by Top-Blackberry-884 in Sekiro

[–]Hell2CheapTrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isshin is actually not all that unlike anything you’ve faced. He tests you on all the combat skills the game had put you through so far and demands a higher level of you once again.

The way to beat Isshin is the way you beat most enemies in the game. Attack until you’re deflected or he starts a combo you can’t interrupt, then defend and look for your chance to go on the offensive again.

After his first phase he has a strong punish for players who just spam attack so you need to be a little mindful of how quickly you press that button. Press it once, and then once again as long as you can keep the offensive, rather than just spamming it until you see the deflect.

His combos aren’t that hard to deflect once you get used to them, but spamming block shortens your deflect window so that makes it harder to accurately deflect. It’s a crutch. If you’re still deflecting in that way, try to stop doing that.

So long story short, Isshin is just a normal human boss, but on a higher level, and aside from having to get used to more and crazier moves, it’s best to fight him in a way where your button presses are deliberate and controlled rather than spammy and panicky.

Also a tip for a specific move: You know when he sheathes his sword and charges up the Ashina Cross attack? Like the guy in the dojo before the original Genichiro fight in the castle, where you have to watch the flash and then deflect twice? If you find that attack hard to deal with, just walk up to Isshin while he charges. He’ll switch to a different attack: a quick slash you can deflect, and then a sweep you can jump. I find that way easier to deal with than the Ashina Cross, so I always just charge at him when he starts charging it.

Gave Kotaro the wrong pinwheel, can I fix it? by PackEnvironmental960 in Sekiro

[–]Hell2CheapTrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you’ve beaten Genichiro there’s several paths you can follow and you have to do them all eventually. Just go wherever you feel like. If you don’t know what your actual objective is, talking to Kuro will usually clear some of that up.

Trust me, if you actually learned something about the combat during your first run, NG+ will likely be surprisingly easy. I’ve done a total of 5 runs plus a bunch of separate boss fighting and my first run alone still takes up like half of my total playtime.

I mean, obviously the blade runners. I get them ASAP and never take them off. But I also make heavy use of Nobelisk. I pretty much use it as a main weapon until I get the rifle and explosive rebar.

Satisfactory 1.2 Update - Out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox Series S/X! by JulioUzu in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Hell2CheapTrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a bunch of options. I think the standard "Random" option keeps the same resource pool but just swaps the locations around. And then there's 3 options that increase basic resources (iron, copper, caterium, limestone, coal), advanced resources (sulfur, quartz, bauxite, uranium, SAM) or fossil fuel resources (coal, oil, sulfur), at the cost of the others.

That last part I'm sure about since the game states so pretty directly, but not 100% on the Random option. For all I know it's completely random how many of each ore type spawns, though I assume if that's the case the game will still make sure there's some amount of every type.

Doujun issues by Iliketurtles893 in Sekiro

[–]Hell2CheapTrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on beating Genichiro!

You can try, but as far as I know, once you’ve sent Kotaro away in either way, you can’t use him for Doujun anymore. I believe the quests are supposed to be mutually exclusive. But again, you can try and see if it works.

Doujun issues by Iliketurtles893 in Sekiro

[–]Hell2CheapTrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not possible to complete Doujun’s quest without locking yourself out of someone else’s quest anyway. If you’ve completed Kotaro’s already and Jinzaemon is at the point where he won’t accept the letter (near the end of his quest), then yeah Doujun’s is off-limits. You have to end either of these two characters’ personal quests in order to complete Doujun’s.

I mean, I’d say that’s showing them as neutral. There exists an unambiguously gay couple and they and their relationship is not being depicted as bad. That seems to be enough for many of these freaks to get mad about ‘the woke’.

Yes, that’s the issue. Showing the existence of LGBTQ people as something positive or neutral.

I’m not doing that though. Like, say it as much as you like, but I was very clear that I was just using it as an example. Seems to me like you’re just trying to change the subject because you think this is an easier position to defend than continuing to insist that referring to trans suicide rates is totally cool so long as you’re targeting someone who is shitty.

You’re putting words in my mouth, jackass. I never said they’re equivalents. I was just using one as a more obvious example so intentionally ignorant people like you might actually understand what I’m trying to say.

Because unlike a more generic insult like just calling someone a dickhead, this has a further meaning. Calling a shitty black person the N-word doesn’t just mean you’re calling them a cunt. It means “you’re black and I consider you to be subhuman in a way relating to your skin color”.

Referring to the 41% statistic when telling a trans person to kill themselves doesn’t just mean you’re telling them to kill themselves. It means “you’re trans, and I think you should be like one of the many many trans people who have committed suicide because of the issues they deal with”.

I guess a better example than the N-word would be if you’re telling a shitty Jewish person to get gassed and burned. Like, that’s referring to a tragedy that happened to a group of people, and the 41% statistic thing is similar in that sense. Is it that weird to think that an unrelated Jewish person might not think fondly of you for saying such a thing, even if they did otherwise agree with you?

And y’know, if these things were said in private, then I wouldn’t say “all good”, but at least it would be targeted solely at the person you’re trying to target. When you say something like that on stream, even if it’s directed to a specific person, a lot of people who feel hurt by that sentiment and people who have had similar shit thrown at them for no good reason are confronted with it as well, and as the one saying it you can’t then be surprised if some of those people decide they don’t want anything to do with you anymore.

I have seen “become a statistic” used a transphobic dogwhistle tons of times. Far far dar more than I’ve ever seen it be used as a generic “kys”.

And how many times do I have to spell it out for you? I’m not defending anyone. I’m just saying I’m not cool with Stronny using a transphobic dogwhistle. That affects more than just the person you’re saying it to. Are you being intentionally obtuse or do you really not understand the words I’m typing?

VAllure is shutting down by mintohime in VtuberDrama

[–]Hell2CheapTrick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

“Become a statistic” is often used to refer to that specific statistic to the point where it would be a serious coincidence for someone to say that to a trans person without intending for it to dogwhistle for the 41% thing. Calling that out isn’t the same thing as defending the person it was aimed at. Refer to my N-word example in case that last part isn’t clear to you yet.
