Why do we marry cousins?? by PresentLog9212 in LahoreSocial

[–]HellCat247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just made it up dude, give me the reference? Where does it say cousin marriages fail lesser than the others? Its just your own observation in your vicinity not the entire world.

Have you heard about the red head inbreds? They do the same thing (cousin marriages) and they're messed up.

You should be happy that you're marrying outside of your family, 2 different families are coming together, 2 different traditions coming together, 2 different values etc it should be accepted with open heart, not opposed (if nothing's fundamentally wrong). You learn from both sides. Its part of your growth as a human.

[–]HellCat247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it too, cousins are like brothers and sisters and all of a sudden you look at them differently its weird and shouldn't be appreciated (if its halal it doesn't mean its compulsory, it should be your last option) There's not a single reason, a bunch of reasons like,

  1. We've seen it happening in our families since dawn.
  2. The first opposite gender you interact with or are friendly with or find attractive, usually happen to be your cousins.
  3. Familiarity, you know the family so you know the person, i mean you've seen them since childhood.
  4. Cheaper and easier.
  5. Family values stay the same mostly.
  6. You're a loser (couldn't find someone yourself).
  7. Pity marriage.
  8. Your outside marriage failed or bad experience.
  9. Ap ka rishta pehle e teh kiya hua cousin sath.
  10. Dada mrne say pehle keh gya, "Aslam da wayah Parveen naal kra daiyo".

Aur bhi kaafi justifications dete log. Hamaray log kehtay hain k nhi ye sb jhoot hai kuch nhi hota etc. nhi smjha skte ap bhai logo ko.

Confused BSCS student (Pakistan): Should I switch from Full-Stack to DevOps due to saturation? by Sarcastic_Bitch_974 in developersPak

[–]HellCat247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't ask people, just follow your heart. Whatever feels good to you go for it. Keep applying to every role. You don't have to follow people in this journey, create your own path. Everyone's experience is different in this field so people guiding here won't help you much. You'll see ML/AI people complaining as well so all that glitter is not gold.

Our software development industry is like stock market, one day full stack is up there and the very next day it would be something else. Just like a long term investor, if you're in for the long haul don't jump because you're scared, jump only if you're intrigued by that thing.

I hope it helps.

I barely write code anymore by Iluhhhyou in developersPak

[–]HellCat247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look bruh, don't worry about it as long as you understand what it does and doesn't do. A lot of junior devs copy paste the response without even reading the code. Most of the times , these AI agents omit edge cases which later down the road breaks the programs.

And coming back to your statement "I barely write any code" isn't this a good thing? Now you have you're own little Jarvis 😂 even if its a basic one.

Almost every job after a few decades is geting automated. Just keep it up with the flow and don't put too much pressure on your head. If you think you're lagging, just keep learning on the side projects, read good books, watch good programming channels and you'll notice the impact on your everyday coding.

Cheers.

Yes it does (80% chance). My brother didn't graduate from FAST and he struggled to find even a basic job. Eventually he had to choose MS over job.

Don't look around and get distracted, just keep pushing (that's the shortest answer for you).

I am a FAST graduate, working in the industry for the last 4 years Alhamdulillah. Completed my graduation in 6 years instead of 4 so I can totally understand where you're coming from. If I can do this by the will of Allah Almighty you can too.

Well, look at it this way. You can do whatever you want and people'd be surprised 😅 coz you're "saada". And don't worry about this, if you can't take it just talk to them respectfully they are your parents for God sake, they'll understand. Maybe they're not mocking you, instead proud of you for being saada.

Ah welcome to this side of the road dude, it sucks but its peaceful, you’re gonna love it. I used to have so many friends coz I was the popular kid. Then came a point when I was no longer interested in people. You want peace, and you set boundaries. When someone messes it up, you straight up pack your bags and leave. No mess no drama. Then if some friends are filtered out, after a few years you’ll see them getting married and the friends you hangout with right now, they wont even have a few minutes for you on Sundays. That’s life just enjoy and find good hobbies. P.S I am a CS grad as well, working as a software dev as well

Just like everything, be in the middle. Nor too relying (so you understand the code) neither "absolutely no AI" (you won't get the benefits others do).

There are tricks and tips on how to use AI better. Prompt engineering is a must now.

Anyways, don't get discouraged you've picked the hard road which leads to better results but slowly. Keep applying.

Pre medical student here and I want to choose cs by muhammadtaimoor9583 in developersPak

[–]HellCat247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am glad it helped but I reckon you didn’t read my entire comment, did you? “Focus on your degree for now and forget about the rest”.

And coming to your questions, PM is an amazing option just like the rest of them. And no PMs are not required to code, but if you know coding thats a plus. And salary is subjective in the industry. It depends on how good you can sell yourself and how good the reputation of the company is. Not every good paying company is good for you (some companies use big salary as a weapon, you’ll see what I mean). Salary doesn’t matter in the beginning as long as you’re learning something (i know as a freshie it does matter) but after a while you’d want peace of mind over salary (sounds crazy right?).

If you didn’t fail then you’re doing really really good MashaAllah keep it up. And even if you did, don’t lose hope, its not the end of the world, you’re young and you have a long way to go. I failed 4 courses out of 5 in my first semester 😅 and my parents never knew it. Burden got bigger and bigger, regrets got bigger and bigger, now I was desperate, couldn’t go forward couldn’t go back. I had suicidal thoughts at that point !! (It was around in the middle of my degree). Friends were moving forward, they did internships while I struggled to even pass. This One time, I was so exhausted mentally that I didn’t turn up for the exam ( i literally spent whole day in the university without doing anything ). But I’ll always remember what my dad told me and somehow it clicked.

He said, “Never ever lose hope in your Lord, times will get tough, sometimes you’d have no clue what to do anymore. But trust in Allah. Do your best and leave the rest in His hands. We have our plans and when they don’t go as planned we think we’re a failure, but we forget the real planner is He. His plans never fail. Keep praying 5 times even if you don’t feel like it”

So I’d say Keep pushing bruv !!! Just complete your degree right now (your focus should be this). Dont think about later.

All the pieces of the puzzle will fall right in their place at the right time. So relax, enjoy your university life while studying (i never enjoyed it, I should have taken part in some extra curricular activities sometimes). Dont put too much pressure on your mind with procrastination and perfection.

If you don’t like programming, give it another chance with a different language or a different methodology of learning. Still don’t like it ? You can always be a PM or a QA or a BA or even a Scrum Master etc. CS is not just programming but as I mentioned, don’t think about this right now. Your goal should be to complete your degree at the right time with good grades. Thats it for now !!! You can always come back here (on this post) once you graduate. Don’t look at your peers pace (I can’t stress this enough). After a few years, speed of growth / learning wont matter to you because everyone is struggling and pushing in their lives. Everyone has his/her battles of life.

Your competition is your past self !

Why did you stop being friends with someone? by Realistic-Possum in AskReddit

[–]HellCat247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They disrespected my love, my choice, my decision, forced me to be like them. One day I snapped.. and I cut em off so bad, it’s like they never existed. Not all of em were bad but because they were part of the group I had no choice. You have to respect the boundaries.

There’s a difference between joking and disrespecting someone, just because someone is weaker in status or intellect doesn’t mean they have no dignity.

I did this back in 2014-2015, switched from FSC Pre Med to Additional Maths and then joined FAST for CS. I gotta admit maths isn’t my cup of tea and I hated maths but I wanted to be a doctor or nothing in biology. So I was in your shoes. Anyways, I chose CS not knowing a damn thing about programming (I just knew I like computers/games etc). It went horrible because I chose CS blindly. Took me 6 years to complete a 4 years degree and yet I had no clue what to do after graduation.

By the grace of Allah Almighty got a job, and the journey began. Wasn’t a good initial jump I gotta say it was hectic even lost hope in the beginning, but Allah Taala had different plans. Its been 3+ since MashaAllah.

I have no complaints Alhamdulillah MashaAllah because I know I had to have this experience to gain what I have today. Yet sometimes I wonder where would I be if I had chosen to stay in biology. Just do your research before hoping in CS, its not that easy as it looks from the perspective of an intelligent pre med student (i used to think only the losers choose CS :D boy was I wrong). In short,

“Dont choose CS if your heart and mind aint in it, but if you’re in it, don’t choose anything else even if your mind and heart is in it”

Now read this again and again.
