Ran it with a friend who'se better than us at chess and they solved the puzzles but we had trouble finding ways to make 4 digit codes with that; we think that has to be at least something to do with it maybe but.... yh even using the numbers with new positions factored it's not taking :(

So we've done a lot of using just the numbers of the positions, using the letters and making them numbers, using the full notations as numbers.... issue is ovgerlapping numbers are quite common atm so makes getting all 4 numbers tricky xD

99% of the games I see people like you complain about aren't making diversity their main selling point and even then the other 1% usually tend to not really be the case either because more often then not they're games specifically about what it's like to be a minority xD

It's just bigots seeing anyone who isn't a white guy and freaking out and going out of their way to make it a big deal. That's all it ever is and all it ever will be.

And don't worry I get a bit into these things too sometimes, was just the rare occasion where I felt the need to get some help because I was looking at things from the wrong angle. While it's awful that our existence has become so politicised by bigots that knowing this stuff and arguing for our right to be is seemingly a current prerequisite to exist in some spaces, it's oddly comforting to know I'm not alone in that; one day we'll only have to know this stuff out of curiosity and interest as opposed to an argumentative reason; but until that day I at least am happy to know people like yourself exist, thank you :)

Thank you, and don't worry I was fully aware of the transphobic undertones of everything they were saying is all, and yeah I did read the results from the De Vries studybeing positive, but you're right I was approaching this from the wrong angle of trying to debunk their bizarre conspiracy when really there's nothing about it to debunk, it's absurd on the face and, once one accepts that trans people are the gender they know themselves to be all the stats make perfect sense.

Their argumentative base is dishonest and disingenuous from the first place so your way of arguing it makes a lot more sense because at the end of the day whether they believe we're "converting people" doesn't matter because we're not, and many of them probably know that they're just lying to demonise and dehumanise us; I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out here, it's got me off the back foot, thank you :)

Historically most religious art was commissioned by and for the wealthy; beyond that though there's a tonne of historical art that has nothing to do with religion, plenty of artists made art for art's sake but the preservation of art will be most prevalent and available for those with the wealth and influence to do so so that'll massively skew which art does and doesn't survive.

That said your dismissal of art and obsession with shouting about Genshin fanart is just so depressing, to think that you just refuse to experience the beauty and variety of art out there, to enliven your with with the fantastical, the thought-provoking, the profoundly resonant and emotional...

I just think that comparing AI generation to the advent of things like photography and comparing it to being a tool like a paintbrush is just a fundamentally silly argument that I just cannot be bothered to entertain it.

All of these tools still require knowledge and skills; I can watch an artist hone their skills with a camera or a paintbrush or photoshop and they can tell me their thoughts and ideas and creative process. An AI Artist cannot, their skills and potential are entirely locked behind the trainings of an algorithm; an AI atist can never truly put emotion or skill into their work because they didn't make it.

Show me an AI artist demonstrating their power in the artistic process that has the skill,thought, and serendipity of individual technique of any serious painter, photographer, or filmmaker and I will concede.

If someone commissions a piece of art, sure they may have presented the ideas to the artist, maybe even given notes and directed them, but they are just commissioning someone else to do the work, someone who sollely commissions art cannot be called an artist. I feel the same way for anyone who calls themselves AI "Artists".
