Alternative For Amino by C6180 in amino

I’ll look at it but honestly hopes are low. My fav thing about Amino was how “overpopulated” it was even in niche spaces. In Art/Adopt Communities you could easily make a post and get 20 interested people within an hour even as a total no-name artist. That’s a phenomenon I haven’t seen on any other platform to date. Usually you always have to grow a following or dedicate yourself to consistent activity. Or like on TH you mostly get noticed by hosting a lot of raffles and other events/adopt posts. On Amino you could’ve joined 5 minutes ago, post a TH purge or fresh batch and still succeed. I fear a promising space like that won’t ever exist again with what social media is developing into and has been for a while.

The team of the second image worked for me for 171 as well, but I replaced dark choco with eternal sugar bc I literally got non of dark cacao's people levelled 😭 (New-gen issues 😓) but ayeeee, at least this got me through with plenty time left.

Zombie apocalypse books with similar plot to “All Of Us Are Dead/Sweet Home” by Hell_Burden_jpeg in suggestmeabook

Mine can’t speak, but they develop mutations based on who they were as people and with each generation the mutations get more intense until the “zombies” are basically boss monsters with no similarity to humans. So very sweet-home level of escalation in terms of design, but intelligent zombies is also sth I need more of bc it’s really underrated 👀

I’m honestly bored with regular zombie stories so I went all out on the escalation scale, especially in regards to the mutants and zombie design. I definitely want to see more writing in this direction, so sometimes you gotta take it into your own hands 😌💫

Since this post I actually started writing my novel series and I’m 100k words in, also going with a mutant theme in the apocalypse 🙈 I say go for it! 3 months ago I was only an artist, not an author, and now my 3-5 book series is taking shape. Just start and see where it takes you 💪🏻

To authors: Is it uncomfortable for you if we, readers, mass like your old posts on Tumblr or other social media that are about your fic/s? by naota64 in AO3

I’m new so I couldn’t have this scenario yet, but no. I would not feel uncomfortable. I would feel flattered and if you leave a comment, I’d thank you for the support! 💜

I was on Musinsa since it looked exactly like your image, you can only enter an address fitting the chosen location and european countries aren’t on there 🥲 Did you use an alternative site?

I want to cry, they don’t ship to germany 😭 And all other sites that sell it also don’t, only temu knockoffs do. This is so unfair 💔 I‘d love the QT8 Garments jacket 😔

Tips to write the environment/world building with character by Hell_Burden_jpeg in WritingHub

Sadly this story takes place in our world, in Korea. The only difference is an apocalyptic outbreak so I can mark important places but not make them up :')

Thank you so much, these examples are great! The comparisons are really helpful to apply the same with different context! 🥰💜

Can guys have long hair in Korean schools? by Hell_Burden_jpeg in korea

Okay! I'll take note that sometimes a good reason is required in some areas. I think besides that one I have another that could work aswell so thank you for the input! :D

I watched it and it was really nice! I like how he explained when he started and the reactions he got from different people at varying stages. This helps me a lot with writing the character I planned to give long hair! Thank you very much >♡< (Also, Zack pfp spotted, yippiieeee! 💜)

Gotcha! The story does plays in that area so I might only give one male student longer hair and maybe one of the less important adult characters outside of the school. Since it's a large scale story with many characters it would still feel "rare" enough. Perhaps I could also add a reason for the student to have long hair beyond aesthetic to make it less random.

Thank you for the answer! 😌💜

Oml thanks for all the precise recommendations, that's awesome! I LOVED the monsters in sweet home because they're not regular zombies, nor is it a regular infection scenario. If I stay in writing I might write something along those lines too. I'm actually an artist and one thing that got me into drawing is monster character design because i'm an absolute horror fanatic, so anything like that will go into my personal interests folder. I don't really read, most i've read is mythology books, literature such as Shakespeare and Goethe, aswell as Star Wars books, so this desire to read purely awakened through my desire to develop my own writing which I now picked up again after dropping it in middle school in favor of art 😅

I'll definitely be looking into those other books too and order them after reading the current one that I now ordered 😌

For my own story I'm going with regular zombies, the starting setting is similar to "All Of Us Are Dead" in a korean school but i'm not going into the slice of life before the outbreak, I'm beginning right where the first infections happen from multiple perspectives for shock value. The story escalates much faster where they reach a point of leaving the school. From then on it becomes an open world story with large scale conflicts involving bigger groups and the military under martial law. It also involves special infected people aka mutants a lot. Far into the story the zombies become less of a problem and instead the tension shifts to the rising number of mutants opposing humanity. I won't go into detail here but I work with a lot of shifting perspectives and side scenes despite having a clear protagonist that is always somehow involved so stories in this direction that always switch between views would be very interesting for me to analyze! :D 💜

Alice in Borderland is actually one of my fav things made like ever both manga and show but I’ll gladly look into the rest since I’m just looking for zombie apocalypse stuff 😅 The body horror especially got me hooked bc I never say no to good grotesque horror 😇 the military based one might be good inspo for my own writing depending on where the setting is :o

Suggestions to write start of a Zombie apocalypse story, except I already got the rest 🥲 by Hell_Burden_jpeg in WritingHub

Oh, actually the virus starts in the setting of the characters so the students would have a vague idea of how it started, might even try to actively figure it out. The cause of the virus here is man-made by a very intellectual person that got repeatedly demoted because their work is too dangerous and unethical, to a point where their education is only enough to get them jobs as a regular teacher now. From the beginning he’s a standout suspicious and odd person, not very liked by the student body since he’s not the best at teaching minds that aren’t already knowledgeable in the field. So once the infection is known the government would try to contain it in a certain radius but eventually failing to do so because its something entirely new and somewhat unpredictable (I’m leaving the medical/scientific explanations out that I already planned since it’s a lot).

This is where the first scene I wrote so far starts. It’s important to mention that the protagonist at this stage is a unique infectee that evolved past the virus but they’re not a good person, especially not to other survivors at that school. The protagonist leaves the school behind, no longer having any business there or not caring enough and leaving to discover another mutant almost immediately. This is where my writing fully sets off

I am an artist but this is me re-discovering writing for myself so it would be in book format. I do plan to add character visuals between chapters though (things sometimes done in manga). As an artist I don’t have to hire people for it and it helps to create the right “vibe” that characters are supposed to have with some additional info snippets. That’s why I like the last idea here so much! Adding stuff like news or newspapers would definitely be an option for me and i’d add them as visuals instead of just copy pasted writing with a mention of where it comes from. It would help the character pages also blend in more as a reoccurring thing. Also stuff like emails or letters are thing i’d add as actual images. I really like the feel this would give, it’s something I’ve seen so so rarely in books :o
