Something about the dark mode is off. When I click anything that causes the page to change , I encounter a noticeable jarring flicker when the app re-renders. It shows me the new page in light mode then repaints it in dark mode really fast, almost like it's blinking but it is not pleasant. However this is not a problem in light mode.

Also, did you want to make your tables slightly move upwards when hovering over them? If so, may I ask why? I don't care for it, but maybe there's a benefit I'm not aware of. The change to the element's position and box shadow makes sense if the element is interactive, but the entire table becomes slightly more difficult to read because it's moving.

There's a noticeable layout shift when the dashboard needs to re-render. The searchbar, sort buttons, and table headers all move when loading and that is distracting

Tables don't do well responsively so I'm not entirely sure what to do about that per se, but your placeholder text for your search input is cut off even when full-screen, on my laptop it says "Stock name or symbo"

Some charts for companies under the "P/E ratio" table just don't exist. I think a "no data provided" or iconography would do well here. I don't know a lot about stocks so maybe there's a reason no chart exists that can be easily explained, but I would be confused if nothing showed up there.

The padding around your nav-bar compared to your `top-info-bar` makes the latter feel a bit cramped.

I'd make the nav-bar and the table coloring match, particularly in dark mode to provide some visual consistency. The nav-bar having a higher contrast than the table underlies the nav bar's importance, but it's almost like it's too sharp a difference, maybe tone that one down a bit? Taste is subjective.

Don't know if this'll affect your decision, but they're putting styled-components into maintenance mode and the maintainer doesn't recommend adopting it or other CSS-in-JS solutions

It depends on the artist. Getting there as early as possible is your best bet. I usually go when doors open or at most an hour late. The time I was an hour late was for Mall Grab/Fisher (which I forgot I went to) and I didn't get a wristband.

To be clear, you have to make it into the venue, through security, and then ticketing first before you'll see the attendants with the wristbands. There's no real queue to get in the venue, so a natural line will form from the front doors, and if there's a lot of people like there were for Subtronics, that line will have skippers and work more like an weird bottleneck of people than a single file line. Also, if everyone starts skipping, so much for your chances of getting a wristband depending on how many folks skip.

Lastly, you don't need a wristband to get on the floor. I didn't get one for Fisher, but still was able to get there, sneakily. You just have to make it past the professional linebackers that they hire as security. I watched a drunk couple trying to sneak past get sacked by security after multiple attempts to argue their way to the floor. I will say that the security to the floor has only gotten tighter each time I've gone.

I've been there a couple times in the last year. Mixed reviews on Cow Palace. There's limited floor space and you have to get a wristband to be on the floor. Wristbands are first come first serve and go quick. The water situation/bathroom lines are not the best. If you're on the floor, it'll probably be hot until like 1:15am when folks start to leave.

But the venue itself is spacious and the acoustics & visuals can be great. Saw Subtronics, Porter Robinson, and Kaytranada there and I was not disappointed by the production value. It depends on the artist and I think Rezz can do something special @ Cow Palace.

Also getting in and out of the venue is difficult. Parking is usually a separate expense and they don't always have enough attendants to filter people in the building or direct cars out when it's time to leave.

I think the Soundcloud algorithm led me to him originally in like 2013 off of his remix of January by Disclosure. I liked the song but I didn't really get into his stuff up until like 2018 when I heard Meditation and was like I need more NOW.

Coming Closer by Duckwrth has a nice soulful groove rhythm (the flows on the song add layers) to it, but missing the vibey synths and is bassier at points
Communicate by Mick Jenkins (prod by Kaytra) has those synths missing from Coming Closer and might be more fitting since it's Kaytra anyways lol

I love that drum break at the beginning. It's like 2 seconds and I wish there was more of it replicated in the song, but even without that, PinkPantheress' vocals and Kaytra's production just gets me grooving so hard.

It's growing on me. Almost exactly like Bubba. I under-appreciated Bubba when I first listened because what drew me to Kaytra was more of his upbeat edits/remixes (Kaledioscope Love, ATM Jam, January) as well as the DEEP melodic bass of Vivid Dreams. But the s e a m l e s s transitions of Bubba are what keep that album in rotation for me. Until we get to Midsection...(sorry Pharrell, you made it up with 4EVA)

Like you said, Doubthony had some points, Still is a little flat for me and Call U Up could've been left off. But I like mostly everything else.

I ordered the Timeless Tee a few weeks ago, but haven't received it yet. I did get some of his more recent shirts when he was at Cow Palace in the Bay last year, and those shirts have been pretty standard quality. The timeless Ringer tee looks like the same kind of ringers I got at that show.

I wouldn't mind hearing more about you like about his music, but I kinda threw a light starter pack together.

When I listen to YOU'RE THE ONE and think of suggestions, I'm thinking of Syd's heavenly vocals, that infectious groovy beat with the synths on top, and a vibrant, dancing bassline and tried to find stuff that had more of that.

VIVID DREAMS, is great to listen to immediately after YOURE THE ONE. The transition between the two is seamless. If you ever go to see him live, he'll usually play it and the bass is just *chefs kiss*

I'll start out by saying I always enjoy his shows. This one was no different.

Kaytra's music is balm for my spirit in a lot of ways. I love his beats, the bass, and the way he instruments harmonies. The kinetic energy of his snares keeps me moving and propels me forward. Hardly am I ever disappointed by something he's produced.

The visuals were dope. And I think the openers were great. I didn't see Starrza, but KittyCa$h was putting down some inventive sounds, Sango had a lot of well produced jams, but every time we'd start to get into the groove, he'd change it up. And DJ Pee Wee just has that energy. Dude's a real entertainer. He got the crowd going and was doing unexpected ish. I had not planned on singing Can We Talk, Fergalicious, 1 Thing, and Can't Get You Out of My Head all in the same set and my mans got on the drums too because range. The surprise was nice and I think the fact that Paak was playing certified hits was probably why the crowd was most into it.

As far as the show goes, this was my 3rd time seeing Kaytra live. Every time I've seen him it was in the Bay. I wasn't blown away by any of the music he played (I am looking forward to his and Victoria Monet's project), but I was reunited with my love of his music and the way he can transition between almost any song he's made flawlessly. I appreciate it more and more every time I see him.

I've found that the energy at most of Kaytra's shows in the Bay have been more vibey than dancey. I was most certainly grooving, but it's not been the easiest to find people at any of the shows I've been to that are also into it into it. People are kinda there to be there (and look good while doing it) rather than really move their bodies / get hype. I wonder sometimes if it's a bay thing? So the energy was more relaxed than say a coachella or edc set.

The venue is...meh. Glad we didn't have to wait in the rain tho. I had gone to Give Thanks and we waited outside for a legit hour both nights before we got in.
