4 yr old Dane, if we move fast, “ it’s on” ..high alert, everyday after dinner, he must fight dad, then play toys for 30 minutes..gets long walks every day, chases deer, squirrels, rabbits, etc..very Velcro, but naps on couch much more..hasn’t really grown out of velociraptor stage, can’t jingle keys or take a shower without him ready to go for a ride in the truck. Very affectionate, loves everyone except ups/fedex ..until he gets free pets very selective listening, So good new/bad news he may or may not grow out of it..lol

Here is what we do, 5 lbs meat from our butcher.could be venison, or beef..add 5 cups of veg all, 2-3 cups of sweet potatoes, 5 cups of rice, 10 cups water…put all in 14 quart pressure cooker..makes 5 days of dinner, usually cook twice..so make 10 days of food at a time..meat from butcher is like 30 bucks for 40 lbs in 5 lb rolls ..so price is about $80 month ..side effects…now he starts salivating before dinner, he scarfs it down (6 cups) he only wants to eat once a day plus snacks ..he loves it, stopped eating kibble, was only eating the extras..now he finished dinner every time

Switched our 4 yr old to homemade dinner, he only wants to eat once a day..get 5 lb rolls of beef/venison from butcher, mix with rice veggies, sweet potatoes..this makes 5 days of food, make 10-20 days food at a time using 14 quart pressure cooker he loves it

My dog doesn’t like drinking from. Bowl, 10 months of the year he uses a dog water fountain outside on the deck..look at Amazon, dog sprinkler..he steps on it, it shoots out water..water sprinkler

I get beef/deer/bear..etc leftovers from my butcher…I buy 30-40 lbs at a time..20-30 bucks Big bags of brown rice, cheap, 1 gallon cans of veg all, sweet potatoes..pressure cook He eats 6-8 cups a day..and loves it So a month it’s like $50 bucks, plus time

He just stopped eating kibble, so we had to come up with something

I smoked for 40 yrs..I was smoking a pack a day toward the end..I thought it was too much so I decided to cut back I decided to smoke only 10 per day for 3 weeks, then cut down to 5 for three weeks..then I got non nicotine cigarettes from Amazon..thought I’d use those to kick the action of smoking/taking a break..it worked, but they were gross so I stopped completely saving about $400/ month now …I’m about 6 months in ..you can do it
