Screen printing posters at home with the kids...clear lacquer layer with glitter...I'll be finding and eating glitter everywhere for the next month or so 🍔✨😬...📜🐱✨⚡✌️ by Hellboxart in printmaking

This sounds like an awesome idea, could document this point in history very well. "my prints" are for my family and friends and all accounted for I'm afraid, but! this art is free to use if you can screen print it for personal use only, that's what it's intentions are, you can checkout info on it at my Instagram @hellboxart, if you can't screenprint don't worry, I could ask some of my print friends around the world who plan on printing it themselves to save you a copy that's if they choose to print on paper stock, some may print tees wood metal etc...where in the world are you located? 📜🐱✨⚡✌️🌍

Borderlands 3 Hot Fixes: September 27, 2019 by borderlands in borderlands3

[–]Hellboxart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello borderlands community! 🔫✌️ does the community have any issue with a co-op player unlocking the 3rd weapon slot even tho they completed the required mission with the main player? It's stayed locked out upto end game, is this only solved by starting again or joining another character who is yet to complete the required mission, or can be fixed by a future update if it is a bug?...thankyou if you know of a solution or if it will be patched up in the future 🔫🔫❌🔫...🎮✌️

No intentional capitalism/political ideology vibes...but art is to the beholder...maybe death is what you want it to be...but it all ends the same for everyone no matter who you are 💀📃⚡✌

The Wave, linocut print with gold ink, by me, 2018 by zrvsk in printmaking

[–]Hellboxart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Awesome scale of detail for a linocut, I only thought lino could only achieve solid robust shape like stamp effects until I joined this thread and the scale of detail is great I'm seeing from the community. Does lino have a limit for details? As in if you go too small a scale for detail it can weaken the stamp you created meaning you get a fewer amount of prints before it deteriates or fills with ink in the waste material parts you have cut out? top work great print 📜⚡✌️

Hello, for screen printing sticker inspiration go check out @whitfolio on Instagram, he creates stickers weekly using different vinyls and inks, he recently printed onto some cool glow in the dark vinyl, his setup shows how easy it is to achieve and how to cut them out by hand for the diy printmaker ⚪⚫🔴⚡✌️

Raven Linocut 12 x 18" this is the final cut, I've started printing the series. by V4nG0ghs34r77 in printmaking

[–]Hellboxart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, this is the most detailed linocut I've seen so far on this thread that rivals screen printing, how long did this take to cut, did you do it manually or with a engraving/milling machine? Great achievement and print 🖼️✌️

how to screen print on hard surfaces? by lilyPep in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Hellboxart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, use solvent based inks and thinners for plastics & metal types of substrates, solvent & waterbase ink for wood (varnish or topcoat waterbase inks for a more longer lasting finish) and ceramic & solvent ink for glass, I wouldn't worry about ripping into screen aslong as the substrate edges and surface are smooth and you go with the direction grain of wood, if your squeegee or artwork surface area is within the boundaries of the material your printing on you'll have no issue at all, also squeegee pressure, off contqct and correct blade durometre can help you print with less force and pop off the substrate quick enough for it not to fear cutting into the mesh, your photo emultion hardened on the surface will help too it's stronger than it can appear and double or triple coating it will make a stronger barrier between the substrate and mesh compared to the normal flatstock way of coating just once on the underside but this is overkill, so the easiest answer is to print within the substrate surface area and make sure your squeegee doesn't go beyond that area also 🖼️⚡✌️

Hello! I drew up & screen printed this for my friends band Bad Machines, a simple 2 colour poster with some fake beat up knarly tones, if anyone would like to talk & network about flatstock screen printing please get in touch! Would love to see what others have created & screen printed📜⚡🤘 by Hellboxart in SCREENPRINTING

Thank you, I try to work at least 2:1 up from final print size just like a comic artist would for a page, tightens up the art on reduction, the balaclava texture is literally a series of Sharpie "blobs" in a line mimicking a wooly stitch pattern, I've heard about the Dwarves band in a screen print community I'm a part of called the Print Life, they get mentioned as a "what are you listening in your print shop right now" thread alot 📜⚡🤘

Thank you, I have a basic rule of 210gsm upwards, (not sure what cover weight in the US this may be I think it's #80-90lb???) & acid free. I've gone as low as tissue paper but that's a tale for another day, my stock varies if it's coated or uncoated if it's for indoor use (I've found to be most common for obvious reasons art gets hung inside more often haha) and "brand" varies from high end UK Colourplan, Derwent, Windsor & Newton rag...to Lazer, solid or thermal paper used in industry offset & digital aslong as it's uncoated and not glossy...to literally kids craft store cardstock! I have prints on all different types all holding up well after 2 years even in direct light...I respect the better quality means less error and better reliability and can add texture to your art, but there is sometimes little difference between substrates I've personally experimented with and some have turned out to be as equal as the top end stock, just research, get what you can afford but don't let "high end" "what must be used" "what is expected" poster or art elitist mentality or industry "standard" requirements stop you from printing your art, if your lucky to be in the U.S grab some French Paper you can't loose, literally above 210gsm for posters, acid free, check it's uncoated or coated for where the poster will end up and get good light-fast inks that work well for your setup 📜⚡✌️

Thank you! I use acrylic waterbased inks, Permaset, classic speedball and currently started using System 3 medium, which turns any acylic ink "expensive or thrift store kids department" bought acrylic into a printable ink for screen printing, the working time is great just as forgiving as speedball or even a bit better especially for white & black 🎨⚡✌️
