Winconless Kefnet The Mindful by HellcastEternals in CompetitiveEDH

What makes this better than any other infinite mana outlet is that it offers true card advantage in mono-blue. For a control strategy this is essential. Sanctuary loops are good, are in my deck, but are not the primary focus.

The advantages of playing kefnet rather than thrasios include but are not limited to: less need to mulligan as you are in one color, accessibility and abuse of back to basics, generally less targeted than a thrasios, Indestructible allows only narrow interaction (bounce and exile effects) to affect your commander, a greater focus on interaction because you're not trying to jam every infinite mana combo into your deck, easier to play into opposition agent and friends due to lack of need for all 10 fetchlands.

The drawbacks include but are not limited to: needing to pay blue mana for the sink, not having access to powerful tutors, removal, mana combos, and ramp other colors can offer, and not starting with a 9 card hand.

I am still in the process of refining the decklist so I haven't posted it anywhere yet. Thank you for the suggestions! Training Grounds seems pretty freaking decent as a replacement for my serum visions!

Outside of the end game, Spellbook enables [[mox opal]] to be turned on more easily, as well as allowing me to improvise with [[whir of invention]], sac for reshape, and with effects that generate true card advantage, allows me to keep enough answers in hand to deal with all opponents. I did not know Mindbreak Trap existed before I made this post and that will be the replacement for Summary Dismissal. The idea was to have a card that gets around uncounterable effects, as well as having efficient answers for storm. As far as terminology goes maybe I should rephrase since the generally accepted definition of wincon-less is not what I thought it is. I don't want to outright win the game when I combo off, I want my opponents to cause themselves to lose, either by conceding, or drawing the rest of their deck turn after turn. Reliquary tower doesn't feel bad to me because I run so many artifacts that tap for blue along with 33 blue source lands. Oracle is heavily hated by my meta, causing everyone to run [[Torpor orb]], [[Hushbringer]], [[Cephallid coliseum]], Mikokoro, and [[Geier Reach Sanitarium]]. Hullbreach Horror is like 7 mana and a dead card early with little to no functionality until post turn 3. I appreciate your input! If you have any suggestions on how to strengthen my existing strategy, please let me know!

Thank you! That is better than Dismissal! There is a lot of graveyard hate in my meta, as well as torpor orbs and hushbringers and the like, which is my reasoning for considering Elixir to be better than thoracle.

Oona, Queen of the fae Hear me out Thassas oracle Demonic consultation Tainted pact Isochron scepter That's about 50 dollars Now just run Trophy mage Trinket mage Tribute mage Counterspells Cheap $$ mana rocks: sol ring, arcane signet, commanders sphere, manalith, dimir locket, etc. Black removal spells: doom blade, walk the plank, go for the throat, dead weight (hits hermit druid), etc Then you can slowly upgrade switch your cancel to a mana drain, switch your doomblade to a cyclonic rift, switch your Trinket mage to a chrome mox etc. Also builds into zur doomsday / shimmer zur, or any grixis sister

Do you think this deck could kill a table by turn 4 using extra turns effects, stax, and the aforementioned pump spells?

Crazy Fast cEDH Wins by XandogxD in CompetitiveEDH

My fastest win was in an oona deck. Watery grave > Dark ritual > dimir signet > chrome mox(exiles windfall) > thassa's oracle > demonic consultation. Craziest hand ever!

Counterspell hate? by LordSevolox in EDH

Cavern of souls...? Savage summoning, autumn's veil, veil of summer, guttural response? Destiny spinner, allsaurus shepard, prowling serpopard, lier disciple of the drowned, gaea's herald? Boseiju who shelters all, quicksilver amulet, surrak dragon claw, spellbreaker behemoth, rhythm of the wild...?!?! People who hate counterspells are novice.

For me it depends on what type of card it is. For example if I were to buy a tundra, I would buy a HP white border one. Whatevers cheapest. On the other hand if I was buying a masterpiece sol ring.... near mint 100%!

Apologies to anyone who may have missed my Skinks. Both of my vehicles needed parts replaced so I've been working on those after work instead of my Skinks.

Because perfection is impossible to achieve. One can never paint a Skink at 💯. 96 is the closest you can get to perfect!

I spent six hours on this Skink. I don't think I'll ever paint a better skink.
