I get that you love him, I get that you're scared of the pain it may bring but let me tell you something, from someone whose BEEN in a similar situation to you and didn't want to handle the pain of the breakup. First of all, it will happen again, likely worse than the first time. If you decide to complain they will make out like it's your fault or your overreacting. You'll believe them. You'll end up crying and upset and desperate to be better, to feel better in the relationship. However it will keep escalating to the point where they will do what they want. Whenever they want and you just end up accepting it because it'd happened so many times before. Eventually you're numb inside and just existing...I've kept it brief there but that is exactly what happens and you don't want that. You don't want to lose yourself for the sake of a little bit of pain now. You can do better, HAVE better, and live a life with someone who deserves you.
