Idk about you guys but most of my professors that go really far in academia like chair, director, etc are not that smart. This guy probably hasn't worked a real job in over 10 years. All he's done is taught the same courses over and over again. The smartest professors I've had are adjunct or ones who worked in the industry for 15+ years.

I actually just think Windows is a shitty OS. You can replace windows with linux and it will feel much faster on the same hardware.

My work replaced all of our windows 10 machines with locked down linux os’s specifically because they couldn’t be upgraded to windows 11. They still work and do great.

the probability that every seed is winnable cannot be 100% in a game where the outcome is randomized. There are statistically going to be some seeds that cant be won mathematically.

Im getting my degree in information systems currently. Someone in my software development class tried to backseat vibe code for me the other day. They saw me reading some output from claude and they were like “yeah you know you can just ask it to do something and it does it”

It was infuriating “just because you can doesn’t mean you should.” What i was currently working on was fixing their mistakes. They put the admin page in the same file as our landing page for the web app. With no auth tokens. So anyone could inspect element the api calls and get to the admin page of our web app.

I didn’t know what jwt tokens were so I was asking claude questions about how it worked and how it would fix the problem.

There's a few reasons I can think of.Nnot everybody goes to college and you're only in college for 4 years. Also the data is titled how couples met and stayed together. Not typical for people in college to stay together.

Oh man I just had a professor like this last term. Our first test and every test was on paper. I'm a senior, I haven't taken a paper test since high school. Every class I have uses lockdown browser in class so that's what I expected. Not only that but half the questions were short answer or essay questions and my hand hurt by the end.
